POSITION SUMMARY:

The Behavioral Health Specialist is responsible for the safety of all clients and the facility, supporting clients towards their treatment goals, and reporting required maintenance of the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the safety and security of clients in a residential treatment setting.
  • Support and assist clients towards their individual service plan goals in collaboration with the clinical residential treatment team.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, recovery-oriented therapeutic environment.
  • Provide intervention and support including listening, redirection, and guidance.
  • Demonstrate respect for cultural diversity and boundaries.
  • Observe and accurately document assistance in the self-administration of medications for clients.
  • Document client activity in milieu progress notes.
  • Observe and document client head count in Bed Check log.
  • Document and submit incident reports in a timely manner.
  • Communicate verbal and written shift change reports.
  • Assign and monitor client life skills and light housekeeping duties daily.

  • MS Office proficiency

Behavioral Health Clinician I

Schedule/Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 8am-5pm

POSITION SUMMARY :

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director and the Director of Residential Treatment this position is responsible for the management and delivery of direct client counseling services to assigned individuals and groups participating in Native American Connections residential program.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Provide substance use counseling to individuals/groups in the areas outlined in the program description and structure of content as necessary to address the client's identified substance abuse, mental health, psychosocial, and trauma treatment needs.
  • Review assessments and provide referral services as necessary to meet the client's identified needs
  • Document / monitor all services provided in the client record a (i.e., demographic data, treatment plans, psychosocial history, progress notes, transition planning, discharge summary, crisis plans, ASAM, ART, etc).
  • Oversee and assist each assigned client with individualized service planning and service plan reviews as required or as clinically appropriate.
  • Provide culturally sensitive therapy modalities through existing services, outside referral services, or the development of new services.
  • Assist in clinical transition planning to ensure continuation of clinically appropriate services.
  • Maintain productivity standards and meet documentation deadlines
  • Provide reports as requested by supervisor
  • Timely completion of utilization management reviews or submission of documents needed for authorization of continued stay
  • Maintain coordination of care regarding client's progress in treatment with referral source and/or stakeholders
  • Provide family counseling on substance use issues within the family and collaborate in facilitation of Circle of Strength as appropriate for client and family needs
  • May supervise Interns as needed under the oversight of the Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Director

EDUCATIONAL/WORK REQUIREMENT :

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Case Manager ensures coordination and continuity of care. Provides skill training and development, intake assessment, facilitates groups, connects clients to community resources, and provides coordination of care.
