Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software systems quality operating methods, processes, and procedures. Conducts evaluation of software systems activities including requirements, design, development, documentation, integration, test, verification and validation. Defines appropriate measures to ensure product quality. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives. Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts. Reviews software systems design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Provides or directs verification and validation of software system requirements, traceability, and testability.
Job responsibilities can include:
+ Devise and apply testing procedures for both HII's Minotaur product and from outside vendors.
+ Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios.
+ Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
+ Test creation, development, execution, and closure.

**Summary**
Join the Brightstar Lottery team and help shape the future of secure, high-performing lottery systems. We're hiring a Software Quality Assurance Engineer I to support our Florida Operations team in Tallahassee. In this role, you'll contribute to the integrity and reliability of our systems by performing hands-on testing, analyzing quality metrics, and ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in delivering trusted technology to the Florida Lottery.
**Responsibilities**
+ Create and maintain test documentation, execute system tests, and manage test environments
+ Identify, log, and track defects to ensure system accuracy and performance
+ Mentor junior QA team members as needed
+ Independently manage most testing activities, with support available for complex scenarios
+ Collaborate with software development teams across locations to ensure quality standards
+ Contribute to the development of site-specific QA procedures, test plans, and checklists
+ Analyze data regularly to inform testing strategies and decisions
+ Engage frequently with internal teams and external stakeholders, including the Florida Lottery
