**Job Summary**
There is one position available in the Power Delivery Standards Department for Dominion Energy South Carolina in Cayce. The position will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsibilities include:
+ Electric substation steel structure development/design, electric transmission line steel structure development/design, foundation development/design
+ Soil boring analysis
+ Qualifying vendors and material for substation and transmission
+ Product assignments
+ Equipment resolutions
+ Bill of material development
+ Material delivery coordination
+ Coordination and working with Operating departments, and overall engineering/construction support.
+ Other responsibilities include: analysis of existing substation and transmission steel structures and foundations, material/vendor analysis, and learning and assuming job responsibilities from experienced departmental staff.
+ This position will engage in daily communication with substation designers, transmission designers, construction crews, field operations, and other departments across Dominion Energy to be successful.
**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience**
Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):
**Engineer**
- 2+ years of relevant civil engineering experience and a valid certification of the FE
- Basic knowledge of engineering concepts, fundamentals and theory.
- Oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).

- Computer skills and application of software programs including AutoCAD knowledge and experience

**Job Summary**
Dominion Energy South Carolina (DESC) is seeking a Power Plant Engineer to support McMeekin Station & Saluda Hydroelectric Station. This Engineer shall work with plant Operations and Maintenance to address chronic maintenance issues and manage capital improvement projects to improve station reliability. This role is inclusive of reporting responsibilities for NERC checklists, Environmental Compliance and Generating Availability Data.
McMeekin Station is a natural gas-fired power plant located near Lake Murray in Columbia, South Carolina. As part of Dominion Energy South Carolina's generation fleet, McMeekin plays a critical role in delivering reliable electricity to the region. The facility features steam turbine units and advanced control systems, offering engineers hands-on experience with modern power generation technology and opportunities to work on projects that impact grid reliability and operational efficiency.
Saluda Hydroelectric Station, also on Lake Murray, is a historic hydroelectric facility that utilizes the Saluda River to produce renewable energy. In addition to power generation, Saluda Station is central to dam safety, water resource management, and environmental stewardship. Engineers at Saluda gain exposure to hydroelectric operations, dam safety programs, and collaborative work that supports both sustainability and community needs.
Together, these stations offer engineers a dynamic work environment with diverse technical challenges, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to contribute to the future of energy in South Carolina.
**Job Activities:**
+ Coordinate with and provide technical assistance to operations and maintenance departments for corrective maintenance tasks and capital upgrade projects.
+ Assist and participate in technical troubleshooting. Engage with subject matter experts and work with plant operations and maintenance to resolve issues.
+ Capital project administrative tasks, such as financial tracking & spending forecasts. Develop and update budget and cash flows for assigned projects.
