You’ll play a pivotal role in leading product and data analysis to determine reasons for returns, leveraging your learnings to drive sustainable solutions that provide measurable long-term improvements.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Analyze customer complaints and investigate field failures – translate learnings into actionable engineering and consumer-facing initiatives. You will represent the voice of the consumer and will coordinate corrective actions, follow-up, and reporting  
  • Assist in driving continuous improvement of product quality, through reduction and prevention of non-conformances while defining and implementing metrics to evaluate the impact of continuous improvement initiatives  
  • Support suppliers in 8D responses and regular quality resolution update meetings, including written investigation reports and review supplier corrective actions  
  • Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, safety reviews, and review the manufacturing and test documentation to ensure customer quality requirements are met or exceeded  
  • View the entire consumer experience at a macro level to identify experience detractors and track product performance, communicating key learnings and developments to appropriate work flows for action  
  • Partner with SharkNinja’s Customer Excellence team to monitor consumer reception and sentiment in field.  
  • Help lead input tracker meetings with cross functional teams. Discuss top issues and delegate actions to cross functional team  
  • Conduct critical analysis on engineering changes (ECN) to make sure changes have no impact on degradation of quality of product  
  • Tracks digital escalations and create accurate responses for customers to better understand our product  
  • Manage product health reporting and push for continuous five-star experience via iterative design improvements.  
  • Always strive for process efficiency – we value a go-getter who can make the most out of any situation and deliver impactful results  
  • Act as a product “expert” for cross-functional team member questions and concerns  
  • Present status of activities and special projects to senior management regularly  

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in mechanical engineering, quality, product development, human factors engineering, or a related field, preferably at a consumer goods company  
  • 2+ years of related engineering experience, preferably at a consumer goods company  
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and root-cause analysis skills  
  • Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively.  
  • Excellent oral communication & report, business correspondence & procedure-writing skills.

  • Take ownership of your assigned categories’ sales performance – partnering with others in the company to identify what products are working/not working; and recommend new product opportunities to fill those gaps.  
  • Lead competitive product analyses, giving your business partners insight into how SharkNinja stacks up against the competition - and maintaining a clear lens on how we can constantly improve to make Shark the consumer’s top choice every time.  
  •  Be the voice of our legacy product lines: share insights and learnings from consumers and the market with Product Developers focused on NPD to ensure critical features and feedback are incorporated into next generation products.  
  • Partner with SharkNinja Testing and Quality organizations to define, develop, and manage quality and performance testing procedures.

    ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:  
  • 4-5+ years of experience in product development, product marketing, marketing, human factors engineering, or a related field – preferable at a consumer goods company.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Management, Engineering, or a combination of the above.

Overview  

The Chief Roadmap and Innovation Officer will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our global product and innovation roadmap — unifying near-term priorities with long-term disruptive thinking. This leader will anticipate market trends, and bring to life innovations that define the future of consumer experience and product technology.  

In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, while fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, fast and agile excellence.   Th is role leads a global team ensuring consumer -centric , 5-star product development to include developing a product roadmap, b uilding unstoppable teams, and being a thought leader .

Lead Agile Product Development:  

  • Maximize revenue and gross margin for each subcategory to deliver at least 20% growth YoY.  
  • Delivers at least one new product in a new category every year that results in at least $50M in revenue in Year 1.  
  • Ensures the Product Roadmap delivers viral product performance AND viral product aesthetic by driving ID and CMF excitement from mass production through EOL .  
  • Oversee a global team with a “fail fast” approach, emphasizing rapid testing, and iteration as well as an insatiable impatience for action.  
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and agility to enhance product offerings.  
  • Ensure the right processes and practices are in place to support the agile approach.  
  • Inspire and Empower Teams by l ead ing and manag ing a global team, coaching and developing them to deliver successful client solutions.  
  • Cultivate an environment of innovation, autonomy, and high performance.  

Operational Excellence:  

  • Lead the optimization of end-to-end product development processes, from concept ideation through commercialization.  
  • Continuously assess and refine product development workflows, methodologies, and tools to drive efficiency and reduce time-to-market.  
  • Implement robust project management practices to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products.  
  • Oversee the integration of new technologies and best practices in product development to maintain competitive advantage.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:  

  • Provide support to the Engineering teams for the design, development and manufacture for products.

Innovation & Market Insight:

  • Identify and analyze consumer needs and market opportunities, ensuring the product portfolio aligns with evolving customer preferences.  
  • Build strategic partnerships with vendors, technology providers, and innovation hubs to stay ahead in the industry.  

Financial & Resource Management:  

  • Ensure that the most cost-effective way is sought to achieve the relevant primary functions whilst ensuring quality / reliability   
  • Manage the product development budget, ensuring cost efficiency and high ROI.  
  • Optimize the product development processes, supply chain, and resource allocation for maximum efficiency.  
  • Drive P&L ownership of the product portfolio, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.  
  • Manage talent development, and hiring to ensure the team has the required skills and capacity to execute the product strategy.  

Risk Management & Compliance:  

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the product development process, including supply chain disruptions, manufacturing delays, and regulatory challenges.  
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines throughout the product lifecycle.  

Performance Tracking & Reporting:  

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product development operations, tracking progress against goals and providing regular updates to executive leadership.

Qualifications / Requirements  

The successful candidate will have proven manufacturing / quality leadership experience and the ability to deliver results in larger matrix organizations.  

  • 15+ years of experience in product development within the consumer products industry (e.g., CPG, electronics, home goods, beauty, apparel, etc.).  
  • Proven track record of leading product innovation and successful launches at a large-scale company or high-growth brand.  
  • Strong background in R&D, design thinking, and market-driven product strategies.  
  • Experience managing large teams and complex product portfolios.  
  • Deep knowledge of consumer insights, supply chain, regulatory standards, and sustainability trends.  
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Industrial Design, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).

The  New Product Readiness Program Manager  is responsible for ensuring all cross-functional deliverables are complete, mature, and aligned with program expectations ahead of key gate reviews. Qualifications  

Required:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.  
  • 3–5 years of experience in new product development or program coordination roles.  
  • Familiarity with product development lifecycle (PDLC) and stage-gate processes.  
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.  
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple concurrent timelines and priorities.  
  • Familiarity with data integrations between PIM and ERP/eComm platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Shopify, Amazon).  

Preferred:  

  • Experience working in a consumer goods, manufacturing, or technology environment.

  • Support the Shark business  onsite in our Needham, MA headquarters with the development of successful and profitable programs for key products to ensure continued growth of the product portfolio – you will lead new product development (creation and management) of assigned product(s) from brainstorm phase through mass production, as well as partner with leadership to define the over-arching category direction to a team of product developers. You are responsible AND accountable for progressing, reporting on, and actioning your and your team’s deliverables.  
  • Lead, manage, and grow team members within the organization – providing guidance on their assigned projects, ensuring product success, supporting professional advancement within their role and within SharkNinja, and holding them accountable to their specific job responsibilities. Qualifications:

 Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:  

  • Assist with product management activities for new product launches, product improvements, optimizations, and line extensions 

  • Support product lines through the growth, active, and end of life stages by providing cross-functional support to resolve product, quality, manufacturing and customer challenges 

  • Assist in the creation/management of merchandising, training, digital content support and execution at retail 

  • Conduct market research to identify consumer needs and market gaps and analyze the competitive landscape 

  • Track product performance, communicate key learnings and developments to appropriate work flows for action 

  • Evaluate product optimization and improvement opportunities for cost and consumer impact 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teammates to convey the strategic vision and goals for the product line 

  • Maximize the value of product line and align with cross-functional teams to ensure successful positioning in the marketplace 

  • Work with Product Managers for program launch and execution analysis while maintaining proper feedback to close open initiatives 

  • Manage the creation and execution of product support material, such as, in-box collateral, FAQ’s, How to Videos and Troubleshooting scripts for online resources and the call center agents 

  • Manage the product development of all domestic SKU extensions and work cross functionally to ensure production deadlines are successfully executed 

  • Work cross functionally to establish value engineering and cost down initiatives  

 ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Business, Management, Communications, or Marketing Concentrations 

  • 1+ years of experience in product development/marketing preferably at a consumer goods company 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SharePoint a plus 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, high impact environment 

  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills 

  • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented 

  • Ability to be a team player as well as work independently
