Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and results-driven engineer to support the development, integration, and testing of complex systems and software solutions, with a focus on radar technologies. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with radar systems and contribute across the full engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, software development, hardware integration, testing, and documentation.
Candidates from a variety of technical backgrounds, including systems engineering, software engineering, and hardware/test engineering, are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities:
+ Engineering & Development:
+ Contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of systems and software solutions, with a focus on radar system functionality and performance, to meet project and operational objectives.
+ Support the integration of hardware, software, and data components into cohesive systems.
+ Participate in the development of technical documentation, operating procedures, and system design specifications related to radar systems and subsystems.
+ Testing & Validation:
+ Plan, develop, and execute test strategies, procedures, and tools to verify and validate system performance, including radar-specific functionality such as signal processing, tracking algorithms, and RF performance.
+ Analyze test data from radar systems, troubleshoot issues, and support root cause analysis and resolution activities.
+ Conduct functional, performance, and environmental tests on custom and commercial radar-based solutions.
+ System Support & Troubleshooting:
+ Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to radar system functionality, software behavior, and integration challenges across hardware and software domains.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design iterations and solution improvements in radar-centric applications.
+ Provide technical assistance for radar deployments, field support, and operational environments.
+ Collaboration & Compliance:
+ Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to translate radar and system-level requirements into implementable technical solutions.
+ Ensure adherence to relevant engineering standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements for radar and defense-related systems.
+ Support quality assurance efforts and contribute to process improvement initiatives, particularly those affecting radar system reliability and maintainability.
Qualifications:
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required, or combination of experience and education.
+ Experience: 4+ years of experience in systems, software, or test engineering with direct experience supporting radar systems or technologies.
+ Clearance Requirement: Secret
+ Required Skills:
+ Experience across multiple engineering domains such as software development, systems architecture, and test engineering.
+ Strong understanding of radar systems, including integration, signal processing, and operational performance analysis.
+ Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java) and familiarity with software development life cycles.
+ Experience in system integration, verification and validation, and configuration management.
+ Ability to perform technical analysis, interpret requirements, and contribute to trade studies and design decisions.
+ Experience working in collaborative environments supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams.
+ Familiarity with industry standards and compliance practices (e.g., ISO, NIST, MIL-STD).
+ Preferred Skills :
+ Exposure to automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps environments.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Work Schedule:

The V2X Mobile Sensors (MS) program performs Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for a ship based marine mobile platform with complex multi-mission X-Band and S-Band phased array radar and communication systems which have a sophisticated command & control computing structure, along with communication interfaces and support sub-systems. These systems and the program assigned employees are tasked to primarily operate in the US Indo-Pacific Command's (USINDOPACOM) Area of Responsibility. Our program ensures the COBRA KING (CK) radar and communication systems are ready for operation 24 hours a day for 7-days a week and can support mission operations on very short notice.
V2X Mobile Sensors is seeking a **Radar Engineer** to perform radar operation duties onboard a forward deployed platform designed specifically for Radar tracking and data collection. This position is a remote assignment onboard the USNS Howard O Lorenzen TAGM-25. As a Radar Engineer, your duties will include: mission/track planning, operation, maintenance, repair of a dual S and X Band radar system and ancillary equipment, performing radar data analysis tasks, providing support for software engineering, developing engineering documentation and system operation & maintenance procedures. The Radar Engineer maintains equipment in a ready state and performs radar operation during tracking and testing. Auxiliary duties may include security manager, logistics support, quality assurance, and supporting maintenance of the onboard communication systems. Additional collateral duties as assigned. This position reports to the Ship Operations Manager (SOM) onboard the ship.

**Required Skills:**

Job Summary
The Radar Engineer is responsible to support radar system design and analysis and be familiar with radar capabilities such as array signal and data processing, clutter mitigation, electronic protection, search/track performance, classification and identification, etc. This candidate would use technical expertise on Radar to develop concepts and designs, evaluate feasibility of new technologies, as well as troubleshoot and resolve design, development, and operations issues. **Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and Maintain Models and Simulation Toolsets in Matlab and Python.
+ Perform system-level analysis and simulations to evaluate radar performance and ensure models match deployed baseline performance.
+ Implement signal processing algorithms for radar applications, including target detection, tracking, and classification.
+ Conduct testing and validation of radar simulation algorithms in a Models and Simulation environment.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to radar system algorithms.
+ Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.

**Qualifications**
