**Schedule:** Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
**Pay:** $27/hour
**Job Type:** Full-Time, Onsite
**Note:** Must pass a soldering and electronics test during a 1-hour onsite tour
PDS Tech is looking for a skilled and experienced Radio Frequency Technician to perform non-conforming product evaluations, test and troubleshoot RF and DC systems, and support the repair and modification of radio frequency equipment. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the reliability and performance of RFID systems used in railroad operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Test AC and DC electrical specifications in accordance with installation requirements
+ Troubleshoot and repair defective units to the component level
+ Assemble and test products based on customer specifications
+ Read schematics and troubleshoot to board level
+ Program and configure radio equipment
+ Use diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
+ Complete electronic forms and technical documentation
+ Work independently and follow engineering specifications
+ Perform modifications and repairs on a technical level
+ Follow all safety and company procedures
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/training in electronic technology
+ Solid understanding of radio communications and RFID transceiver technology
+ Experience with 2-way radio systems and radio programming software
+ Proficient in reading schematics and technical documents
+ Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
+ Familiarity with Windows-based systems

Position Overview:

We are looking for experienced Calibration Technicians specializing in Radio Frequency (RF) Calibration. You'll ensure the accuracy and reliability of clients' measurement instruments, requiring precision, organization, and communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate RF/Microwave instruments (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meter etc.)
  • Calibrate electronic instruments (Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Hipot Tester, Accelerometers, etc.)
  • Calibrate standards and generate reports
  • Inspect equipment and collaborate with engineers
  • Provide technical guidance during audits
  • Maintain safety and troubleshoot equipment

All calibration is to be performed in accordance with NIST traceable standards. MQC is A2LA Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006, and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994.

Requirements and Skills:

  • RF Calibration experience required
  • Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training and familiarity with ISO 17025 standards preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for potential onsite customer visits
  • Valid driver’s license, clean record, and U.S. citizen or permanent resident required.

Position Summary

A RF Design Engineer at Duotech plays a crucial role in the design, validation, integration and support of RF hardware with applications in Radar development and automated test equipment. The position will incorporate advanced work with legacy and leading-edge radar technologies, phased array radar, and PCB simulation and design, and requires working knowledge of radar design theory, systems integration, circuit card design, and RF module design, that meet mission specific Size, Weight, Power, Cost (SWAP-C) constraints, from concept through production. The RF Design Engineer will be part of a cross-functional team of hardware, FPGA, systems, and software engineers creating innovative products that meet the demands of our clients in Radar and ATE design.

Position Description

· Monitor and report on full project status from initiation to delivery

· Design and schematic capture of custom circuit boards and RF modules

· Perform board-level and system-level integration and test of new designs

· Manage system level configurations with new design assertions

· Support transition of boards and systems to production

· Keep up to date with the latest hardware and radar development tools, technologies, and methods

· Generate quick turn prototypes to de-risk key functionality and to support customer demonstrations

Position Basic Requirements

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of experience in RF hardware design, system design and development or related experience

· Experience leading teams in multi-phase projects and providing status, budget, schedule updates while in-process

· Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB routing tools (e.g., Altium) to lead design of digital, power, and RF PCB applications

· Familiarity with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, temp chambers, shield rooms, spectrum and network analyzers, etc.) and basic soldering skills

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent communication skills

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

· Experience with RF simulation and modeling in Ansys HFSS and/or SIwave

  • Contribute to project technical architecture design and development and maintaining on-going configuration of installed solution.
  • Perform integration/testing with base-stations and remote CPE's stations for RF design, analysis, and IP networking over a RF environment.
  • Document discrepancies, troubleshoot and analyze performance of wireless network systems and how they compare to other utility systems owned by our Client.
  • Support the programming of various types of radios (i.e., Radwin, Cambium, 4RF, LTE modems, etc.)

**Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer**
Responsibilities:
+ Provide systems level support in Radio Frequency (RF) analysis, simulation and development to support NASA Spaceflight Programs. Duties will include:
+ Provide analyses of existing transmitter designs
+ Provide analyses of existing antenna designs
+ Provide analyses of existing receiver designs
+ Participate in requirements and data reviews by reviewing materials and providing inputs and comments
+ Support RF laboratory by performing or participating in formal and informal tests
+ Provide comments to requirements documents
+ Support RF subsystem trade studies as needed
A degree, MS preferred, in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field is required. Degree from an ABET accredited institution is preferred. Minimum experience requirements are a Masters degree, or a BS with at least 2 years of work experience.
**Required skills/experience:**
+ Candidate must have RF background and digital signal processing experience.
+ Proficiency with Mathematical Analyses (MATLAB, MathCAD, Excel)
+ Proficiency with Link Margin Analyses (Satellite Took Kit, MATLAB, MathCAD,)
+ Operational knowledge of RF Lab Test Equipment (RF Receivers, RF Transmitters, Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Software-Defined Radios (SDR))
+ Familiarity with Programming Languages and Digital Logic (C, Python, Command-line scripting, Matlab, FPGA platforms (i.e. VHDL)).
+ Familiarity with GNURadio, Raspberry Pi (ARM platform) and NUC14 (x86 platform) is a plus.
+ Excellent organizational skills and an ability to perform technical tasks independently is required.
+ Familiarity with radio-based navigation approaches, such as the simulation and processing of GPS signals.
+ Familiarity with development and porting algorithms to an FPGA-based platform through manual coding or code generation tools (e.g. MATLAB Embedded Coder HDL).

**Work Environment:**
