As a Radiologic Technologist/CT Tech, you'll report to the Director or Manager. You will play a vital role in performing high-quality imaging procedures to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment. Radiologic Technologist/CT Tech Job Responsibilities

• Perform radiology procedures following physician orders and department protocols.

• Ensure image quality and patient safety through skilled positioning and correct technical settings.

• Manage patient flow and scheduling for optimal efficiency.

• Maintain imaging equipment and troubleshoot operational issues.

• Support the radiology team, assist in training new staff, and participate in on-call coverage.

What You Bring

You bring a high level of knowledge and competency in performing imaging procedures. As a radiologic technologist/CT technologist, your advanced analytical skills are necessary to solve complex problems and make decisions related to patient care. You demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, visitors, physicians and others. You demonstrate the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner. As a radiologic technologist/CT technologist, you have an understanding of the need to be responsive and reasonably adaptable for scheduling purposes, when necessary, due to extenuating circumstances in support of co-workers and department functions.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Professional Training in Radiologic Technology required.

• ARRT or ARRT-eligible; State License required.

• CPR Certification required.

• Dual-modality certification preferred.

• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of radiation safety, positioning, and imaging techniques.

• Familiarity with cross-sectional anatomy and pathology adjustments.

• Experience with contrast injections and IV starts.

Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Under general supervision and according to UAHSF established policies and procedures, provides a variety of specialized services that require interaction with patients, visitors and other members of the patient care team. Greets patients and performs required medical testing (i.e. vital signs, lab work, etc) as designated by either physician or pre-designated protocol. Perform X-rays as ordered by a physician under the guidelines of radiology technician standards. May prepare and collect charge tickets. May prepare, order and distribute patient charts and update patient information. Answer and document patient phone calls regarding medical questions, test results and medication while in constant contact with attending physician. Performs a variety of duties requiring use of independent judgment and decision making skills within well established parameters.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. ARRT registered or registry eligible for the ARRT certification in radiography. One year experience in a customer service or comparable capacity which demonstrates ability to interface appropriately and effectively with the public. Excellent grammar and articulation skills.

Preferred: Medical office experience in an occupational medicine or workman's compensation setting would be preferred.

LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Required: Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography or registry eligible. Must become registered within one year of hire date. Current CPR certification of must obtain within 30 days of hire.

Follows standards of behavior as set by the department and CPH. Completes annual Healthstream programs, maintains HIPPA, complies with laws, rules, regulations, standards and hospital policies. Reports compliance issues through the chain of command. Stays within hospital guidelines regarding sick/absent time, and provides proper notification of absence/tardiness.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• New York State Department of Health Licensure

• Registered with ARRT (American Registry if Radiologic Technologists

• BLS within 3 months of hire.

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program

• IV certification.

• 1 year experience in general radiography setting.

PAY RANGE:

$29.15 - $42.34

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. • Checks equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular basis. Required to maintain the required stock of supplies for each radiography room.
• Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas.
• Transports patients to radiographic room (at times also back to room or ER); prepares and maintains room.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
• Attends meetings as required.
