  • Prepares CDs, reports, corrects errors in radiology systems, merges accounts as necessary.
  • As PACs Super User corrects patient records, works in coordination with I.S. providing support, information, and technical assistance as needed.
  • Communicates professionally and effectively with patients, staff, Radiologists, Radiology Service Coordinator and members of the administrative team. Provides regular updates on breast imaging to Radiologists and other members of the imaging team as necessary.
  • Cross cover Radiology Service Coordinator, Radiology Scheduler, Radiology Service Admin, and Navigators.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma and three years related experience are required.
  • Requires operating knowledge of Radiology.
  • Position requires in depth knowledge of work performed by various clerical and specialty areas in order to provide guidance and the ability to troubleshoot.
  • Medical terminology and knowledge of coding recommended as well as strong communication and customer service skills.

The Interventional Clinical Radiology Facilitator, reporting to the Radiology Facilitator Supervisor, fulfills the responsibilities necessary to assist the radiologist to streamline workflow process and interacts with patients 100% of the time. Responsible for educating patients about the processes and can assist radiologists with the procedures. Coordinates and manages exams once they reach Archiving Communication Systems (PACS), ensuring a timely reading and report delivery to ordering and referring physicians. Evaluates studies, recognizes discrepancies and resolves issues or brings to the attention of the Radiologist. These responsibilities involve participation in a variety of technical and administrative processes which deliver quality care to physicians, ancillary staff and patients.

Assists Radiologist by monitoring and prioritizing all the PACS worklists for critical exams, STAT exams, established turn-around times for exams, incomplete or broken studies, corrects hanging protocols, one off reads and division call results worklists.
May assist Radiologist with invasive procedures if needed.
Evaluates images for completeness, diagnostic quality and correct hanging protocol.
Follows up with exams that are incomplete or incorrect to have the exams fixed by the technologist or department manager in a timely manner for dictation.
Proficiency in multi-tasking by monitoring worklists, handling multiple phone lines, performing administrative functions such as maintaining reading room cleanliness, and when authorized by Medical Staff, assisting with procedures.
Provides necessary education to patients about exams and procedures.
Assists the Radiologist with providing timely results to ancillary departments and physician offices.
**The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:**
**Minimum qualifications** :
+ Current valid State of Florida license as a General Radiographer and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) **OR**
+ Current valid State of Florida license as a General Radiographer and Certified Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT) **OR**
+ Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Provide film digitization, CD creation to fulfill patient and healthcare provider requests. Triage stat and routine imaging errors. Resolve Epic errors. Manage multiple partner systems and troubleshoot images not crossing to our system. Facilitate downtime process with reconciling orders. Assist in PACS support functions such as unlocking reports for radiologists, archiving studies, anonymization of scans, establishing connections and managing operations of image sharing with outside facilities

Essential Functions

  • READING ROOM : Provide support to Radiologists and Radiology customers, both internal and external, to enhance production workflow. Accurately relays complex imaging report information to appropriate customers. Reports critical results in an efficient and effective manner to expedite safe patient care. Provide customer with images, in film or CD format, as requested, ensuring all appropriate consents and form completion. Fulfill requests from healthcare providers for patient reports. Educate outside departments on how to retrieve outside imaging, place orders in the electronic medical record and push images from image sharing software.
  • PACS SYSTEM SUPPORT AND DATA ENTRY : Proficiently utilize multiple, complex, IT and Radiology computer systems. Perform order entry, maintaining accurate demographic and clinical information. Manage historical images by requesting from offsite storage. Monitor system dashboard for critical result reports and facilitate doctor to doctor communication. Assist radiologists with unlocking reports. Monitor patient medical records error work queue. Manage partner hospital image sharing by utilizing multiple Imaging Informatics managed systems. Manage and maintain outside image sharing operations. Troubleshoot radiologist IT issues and place appropriate tickets or connect with the appropriate IT support staff. Staff and manage downtimes, manually push reports, associate downtime reports in dictation system to reconcile in electronic medical records, etc.
  • PROBLEM SOLVING : Investigates and resolves customer requests, questions or problems. Contacts outside representatives to request information or assistance in resolving problem. Troubleshoot IT problems that Coordinator has access to resolve or escalate to PACS appropriately.
  • LEADERSHIP I : Build positive relationships with colleagues. Coach and/or mentor peers, formally or informally. Provide constructive feedback to staff. Assist others in acquiring department specific knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • SAFETY : Maintain safety programs within the department/division. Help develop, implement, monitor, and manage safety programs, policies, and procedures; including, but not limited to, those related to safety regulations and organizational policies. Evaluate procedures, facilities and equipment to identify unsafe conditions that need improvement. Ensure safety concerns are reported appropriately.   • Responsible for participating in the departmental and hospital programs for Quality Improvement, identifying opportunities to impove services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of Nemours.

    **Job Summary and Qualifications**
    This position supports the mission of the facility of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor, Radiology Manager, and Radiology Director supervises all aspects of the radiology pre-authorization systems this includes: Insurance verification, scheduling and authorization for radiology procedures to include but **not limited** to ESI's, CT procedures, Ultrasound procedures, MRI exams, TIA, DBS, Pulsatile Tinnitus, Rapid Spine Access, 2 nd Opinion Clinic, OP Breast procedure prep and coordination. The Radiology Administrative Coordinator will train and assist any secretaries/staff members with this process. Will provide a high standard of customer service to all customers, patients, their families, and physician offices. Represents the radiology department positively to physician offices to improve patient referrals and streamline processes to make it easier for patients to seek imaging services. Will assist in secretarial duties when needed and/or assigned. Radiology background preferred.
    Will work with internal and external communication, customer service initiatives, works with staff on behalf of the patients, all modalities and locations of the Radiology department including but not limited to CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, IR, Diagnostic, and MRI. Serves as first line coordinator resource for other departments/customers. Will work in an honest manner, and works closely with department leadership and the Patient Access Systems and employees to provide information. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by Radiology Supervisor, Radiology Manager and Radiology Director.
    **What qualifications you will need:**
    + BLS certification through AHA or ARC preferred
    + 2 year Associate's Degree
    + 3+ years' secretarial/clerical experience in healthcare setting highly preferred
    + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

    Schedule: 2pm-10pm
    Coordinates and oversees daily workflow using assigned administrative and information technology systems to ensure the timely and accurate interpretation and communication of radiology studies.
    Responsibilities
    * Coordinates, monitors and supports the real-time workflow of radiology studies between D-H radiologists, ordering providers and contracted facilities.
    * Using various IT systems, trouble-shoots and resolves issues related to image movement between facilities.
    * Perform Help Desk functions for IT related issues within the department and will triage appropriately
    * Facilitates the clinical communication between Radiologists and ordering providers to ensure clinical practice and American College of Radiology guidelines are met.
    * Coordinates the timely protocoling of exams from contracted facilities.
    * Responsible for creating and disseminating quality and performance reports to multiple organizations served by the department.
    * Responsible for benchmarking and reporting departmental performance against our contractual commitments.
    * All other duties as assigned
    Qualifications
    * Associates degree preferred with two years of experience working within an office environment or customer service.
    * Must have excellent spelling and typing skills.
    * Must be able to communicate tactfully with a broad spectrum of professionals including physicians, nurses, technologists and administrative staff.
    * Must be comfortable working in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
    * Must be able to independently prioritize and re-prioritize a time-sensitive workload.
