Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Capture high-quality radiographs of patients both in the department and using portable equipment in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards while operating radiographic equipment competently.

Primary Duties:

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Radiologic Technologist is the primary liaison between patients, departmental physicians, and other members of the support team. They must remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills. 

The Radiologic Technologist must: 

  • Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

  • Maintain knowledge about radiation protection and safety. 

The Radiologic Technologist prepares for and assists the physician in the completion of intricate radiologic examinations. They prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with state, federal, and hospital regulations.

  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for patient populations served in this department. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs. 
  • Assess patients' and families' ability to learn and incorporate teaching. 
  • Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.

What qualifications you will need: 

  • Graduation from an accredited education program in Radiologic Technology.

  • Must be registry eligible and obtain ARRT within 6 months of the hire date; if not obtained, termination will occur. 
  • One year of post-graduate experience is strongly preferred.

Diagnostic Radiology Technologist

Our team is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality radiology procedures. In this role, you will be responsible for independently performing diagnostic imaging tests using various equipment and techniques.

As a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist, your primary duties will include:

  • Preparing patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the exam.
  • Operating and maintaining radiology equipment, including CT scanners, X-ray machines, and MRI devices.
  • Producing high-quality images by adjusting settings, angles, and other factors to achieve optimal results.
  • Analyzing images to identify any abnormalities or issues and reporting findings to medical professionals.

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. You should also be proficient in computer systems and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
