The FEMA Appraisal Specialist:
- Reviews the applicant's commercial property insurance documentation, including final settlement information, and identify additional information needed.
- Assesses the amount of actual or estimated insurance proceeds for the damaged facility; ensures there is no duplication of benefits with grant funding; determine applicable NFIP requirements, including for future insurance coverage.
- Provides recommendations.
- Communicates and coordinates with staff within FEMA as well as local, state, tribal and/or territorial governments.
- May coordinate and complete basic to moderately complex site inspections to validate and record damage to assist in the FEMA Public Assistance grant delivery process.  
- Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a FEMA Badge, which includes a background investigation for a Public Trust position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

This position plays a key role in supporting leasing, acquisition, and property operations through the review, negotiation, and execution of legal documents across a wide variety of real estate leasing transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal leasing teams to review and finalize lease terms with tenants and prospects; assist in drafting LOIs and reviewing use restrictions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate documents including leases, lease amendments, estoppels, waivers, SNDAs, and termination agreements.
• Present, revise, and manage internal feedback on new and existing lease deals, renewals, and modifications.
• Support acquisition and disposition activities by assisting with purchase and sale agreements and due diligence processes.
