As a Talent Acquisition Researcher, you will play a vital role in examining rsums, screening potential candidates, and coordinating interviews. Unlike other recruiting agencies, we have a small and friendly environment, where you will work directly under an executive recruiter and assist with various recruiting-related tasks.
To excel in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a solid understanding of recruitment techniques. A successful candidate will understand the company's needs, ensure qualified candidates progress to the executive recruiter, and maintain an organized recruiting process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the recruiting team to source, recruit, and present a list of qualified candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Summarize pre-screened candidates' skills, experience, qualifications, and additional pertinent information.
- Develop and maintain a strong, diverse talent pipeline internally and externally to meet the business's current and future needs.
- Collaborate with the team to gain a deep understanding of position requirements for all key openings.
- Source qualified passive and active candidates through various platforms, including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, cold calls, and internal/external networks.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews and prep calls with recruiters, providing additional support as needed.
- Maintain data integrity and compliance by accurately inputting data into the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dynamic, outgoing personality with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- 3 years of experience in a supportive role, preferably in sales, recruiting, or administrative professional services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Data entry and management skills across multiple platforms
- Basic knowledge of HRIS and ATS (JazzHR, LinkedIn, Indeed)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Psychology, Communications, or a relevant field preferred

Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will act as a strategic partner in executing the staffing direction in the Smithtown facility and surrounding facilities as required through recruitment of talented, qualified, and diverse talent adhering to established recruitment practices and policies. The TA Specialist works as a recruiting and human resources partner supporting organizational goals by managing forecasted and un-forecasted staffing needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as SME to specific facilities/locations ensuring proper strategies are in place to meet hiring needs
- Establish solid working relationships as the key HR support and collaborate with the General Manager and all levels of management to initiate, develop, and execute strategic HR plans and workforce development strategies to drive business results.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders within assigned areas of responsibility
- Partner with hiring managers to review, analyze and clarify job specifications, leadership behaviors and skills required; understand business operations and develop recruiting strategies to fill staffing needs
- Work closely with HRMs and hiring managers to deliver strategic hiring strategies targeted towards each functional area
- Manage the full life-cycle recruiting process locate candidates, screen & interview candidates, schedule interviews, coordinate a variety of other items relative to recruitment scheduling, utilize Company applicant tracking software, sell the candidate on Company's attributes, extend verbal offer
- Engage the Recruitment Technology for job posting process and properly maximizing system capabilities working within the SOPs and Requisition Management Guidelines
- Develop sourcing plans specific to each job opportunity within designated locations and build bench of diverse talent with candidates sourced and ready for interviewing and presentation to hiring managers
- Utilize proactive recruiting techniques, develop industry contacts and select qualified individuals who will provide added value to the department, business objectives and the Company
- Utilize behavioral interview techniques and web based assessment tools to identify qualified candidates
- Accountable for Affirmative Action Plans for specified requisitions/functional areas.
- Analyze the state of the talent market for competitiveness with respect to compensation and other factors.
- Assist Hiring Managers in developing and extending competitive job offers, and communicate acceptances to TA Services team for completion of the hiring process.
- Participate with external committees and organizations in area of recruitment establishing positive community outreach relationships to increase diversity hires. Serve as primary liaison to national diversity organizations within functional areas.
- Maintain an in-person presence at least three days per week to support team collaboration, business needs, and employee engagement
- Other projects as assigned
- BA/BS Business Management or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years full-cycle recruiting experience in a complex recruiting environment
- Strong strategic development, implementation, and ongoing execution of effective recruitment plans and selection strategies for senior-level roles
- Proven experience in a broad spectrum of direct sourcing methodologies (including passive sourcing)
- Knowledge of the consumer products industry is a plus
- Skilled at partnering with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage client expectations through a deep understanding of ROI
- Proven ability to work effectively with senior-level management

Summary:
The Recruiter will work closely with hiring managers and HR managers to source and recruit diverse, qualified talent across a wide range of Operations, Risk Compliance, Credit, Finance, IT, Audit, BI Planning, and Marketing positions.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field or eight years of recruiting/talent experience including contemporary full-cycle recruitment required

- Build good relationships with leaders, acting as a trusted partner for all recruitment related activities
- Proactively provide status updates on and results to leadership and HR partners
- Utilize search engines, career sites, recruiting events and attend local colleges/job fairs to attract candidates
- Provide recruiting data and statistics
- Perform other duties as assigned

What is Required?
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or related field is required
+ 5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources
+ Workday (applicant tracking system) experience is preferred
+ Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment and communication effectively with Executives, Directors, and team members
