Qualified candidates are required to have-

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide initial HR support for employee inquiries.
  • Manage the full recruitment process, ensuring timely and effective hiring.
  • Administer pre-employment and onboarding procedures for new hires.
  • Coordinate and facilitate New Hire Orientation and initial training sessions.
  • Post job openings, screen resumes, and pre-screen candidates based on qualifications.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and recommend candidates.
  • Maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for accurate recruitment data and communications.
  • Prepare and send job offers, offer letters, and all related pre-employment documentation.
  • Ensure compliant completion and storage of I-9 documentation.
  • Maintain HR records including personnel files, terminations, and benefits-related information.
  • Perform regular data entry and ensure HRIS databases are updated accurately.

  • Lead the Employee Recognition Committee, ensuring activities adhere to budget and policy guidelines.
  • Assist with employee relations issues, including complaints and grievances, as directed by HR leadership.
  • Participate in unemployment claims processing and other HR-related investigations.
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local employment laws to maintain HR compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR files and records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide back-up support for other HR roles and assist with cross-training initiatives.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field is required.
  • 4+ years of recent experience in a Human Resources department in CA.
  • HR certification is preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy with intermediate proficiency with MS Office.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
To play an integral part in assisting Human Resources administration with the recruitment of prospective candidates within the District to include community networking, advertising of positions and interviewing candidates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Establishes and supports recruiting requirements and goals by studying the District's strategic plan and objectives.
  • Collaborates with hiring supervisors and principals to determine hiring needs of the sites.
  • Develop partnerships with universities, community services and agencies, providing District information, opportunities, and benefits; maintain rapport.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to communicate and work well with staff, students and public;
  • Working knowledge of relevant employment laws, including, but not limited to FMLA, FLSA, and ADA, preferred;
  • Prior Human Resources experience is a plus.
  • Driver's License required.
  • Bilingual preferred.

About the Position

We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist III / Recruitment to join our team at our Administrative Office in Medford, Oregon! The Human Resources Specialist III / Recruitment will create and maintain job postings in ADP on-line application system. They will screen candidates by reviewing resume and job applications and performing phone screenings. The Human Resources Specialist III / Recruitment will develop and implement recruiting strategies that attract qualified candidates to meet current or anticipated staffing needs. They will assist with training of HR staff as directed and coach managers and ensure all screening, hiring and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
