**_Recycling Technician_**
This individual will have a critical role as part of the Solid Waste & Recycling Program. They will support our premier industrial Client's strategic objectives. The ideal individual for this position will demonstrate a proven background in facilitating an influence zero waste principles and waste recovery markets. Outstanding teamwork and customer relationship management skills are important skills for this role.
The schedule for this role will be Mon-Fri 8:30am-2:30pm (32 hours weekly) and the incumbent will be eligible to participate in Amentum's medical insurance and benefits plan. The target rate of pay is $17.00, depending upon experience.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Ensures execution of the recycling activities at the site which includes wooden plates, rim recycling, cardboard, heavy metals, light metals, and general trash at the site.
+ Effectively support the coordination of the subcontractors associated with the recycling program at the site.
+ Coordinate and arrange for the shipping and delivery (by others) of waste to final vendor.
+ Apply measurement systems to monitor and assess progress towards achieving established goals.
+ Responsible for the accurate collection, compilation, and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance data.
+ Provides customer service, answer questions, resolves complaints or issues, responds to external organizations' surveys, etc.
+ Effectively manage vendors to meet contractual compliance.
+ Understand and implement performance improvement processes.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Ability to break down pallets for recycling
+ Computer proficiency using spreadsheets, databases, and online data processing applications.
+ Can effectively manage multiple tasks and can drive solutions.
+ Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service and stakeholder engagement.

**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Recycling Auditor will be in charge of monitoring and assessing the quality of inbound loads for recycling by inspecting, documenting and communicating the quality and composition of delivered material to ensure it is aligned with required guidelines. For loads that are highly contaminated or non-compliant, the Recycling Auditor will record observations and communicate with Operations, Accounting, and Sales Managers in order to bill customers properly and remedy improper recycling behavior. This position will report to the Operations Manager at the Recycling Center.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Inspects inbound material stream being delivered to the facility.
+ Conducts visual and physical audits of inbound recycling materials to characterize and determine recycling material composition.
+ Documents information regarding the targeted inbound customer material/loads. Places specific notifications on contaminated loads and takes photos of material streams as necessary.
+ Identifies loads with significant amounts of unrecyclable items and communicates to customers and/or the Operations, Accounting, and Sales Teams.
+ Updates and submits required reports in a timely manner.
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a safety-sensitive environment such as manufacturing, transportation, logistics, recycling or waste related industries.
+ Experience showing ability to work independently and use good judgement to make decisions and execute the work.
+ Strong aptitude for visually observing materials and discerning or making a fair judgment call on the quality of the load.
+ Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
+ Ability to work flexible hours to match the receiving facility or collection vehicles.
+ Possess initiative, adaptability, flexibility and a willingness to learn.
+ Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a safe driving record required in certain locations where it is necessary to travel between facilities within the Area.

The incumbent collects, consolidates, and packages for shipment hazardous and non-hazardous wastes and recyclable materials.
**Essential Duties & Job Functions:**

Quad is seeking a full-time Recycling Technicians at our Franklin, WI facility.
We have the following shift options to offer:
Monday-Friday 1 PM-9 PM
Overtime is always a possibility, but never guaranteed. Wages start between $18.00 - $21.00 / hour or more based on relevant work experience and stability with work history. Other responsibilities of the position include:
+ Coordination of materials to be recycled within the plant using a forklift or tugger.
+ Removal of all recyclables from around the plant
+ Depositing recyclables into the recycling system
+ Operating the bailing and shredding system
+ Separating and storing the various grades of recyclables for shipment
+ Loading semi-truck trailers and rail cars

**Responsibilities:**
- Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
- Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
- Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment

**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Recycling Auditor will be in charge of monitoring and assessing the quality of inbound loads for recycling by inspecting, documenting and communicating the quality and composition of delivered material to ensure it is aligned with required guidelines. For loads that are highly contaminated or non-compliant, the Recycling Auditor will record observations and communicate with Operations, Accounting, and Sales Managers in order to bill customers properly and remedy improper recycling behavior. This position will report to the Operations Manager at the Recycling Center.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Inspects inbound material stream being delivered to the facility.
+ Conducts visual and physical audits of inbound recycling materials to characterize and determine recycling material composition.
+ Documents information regarding the targeted inbound customer material/loads. Places specific notifications on contaminated loads and takes photos of material streams as necessary.
+ Identifies loads with significant amounts of unrecyclable items and communicates to customers and/or the Operations, Accounting, and Sales Teams.
+ Updates and submits required reports in a timely manner.
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a safety-sensitive environment such as manufacturing, transportation, logistics, recycling or waste related industries.
+ Experience showing ability to work independently and use good judgement to make decisions and execute the work.
+ Strong aptitude for visually observing materials and discerning or making a fair judgment call on the quality of the load.
+ Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
+ Ability to work flexible hours to match the receiving facility or collection vehicles.
+ Possess initiative, adaptability, flexibility and a willingness to learn.
+ Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a safe driving record required in certain locations where it is necessary to travel between facilities within the Area.
