Job Summary:
Starting Pay: $18/Hr PLUS Weekend, Afternoon, and Night Shift Premiums!
Commuter Pay: $25 per week (Englewood Commuter Reimbursement) (Added to your paycheck each week)
Job Requirements:
- MUST BE 18 years or older.
- Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers helpful but not required.
- Ability to be trained on Lock Out Tag Out (L.O.T.O) procedures and the ability to perform Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
- Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground.
- Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment.
- Have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness.
- Process plastic, foam, cardboard, and Styrofoam to be recycled.
- Inspect Styrofoam, cardboard, plastic, and foam to ensure it is free of tape, packaging boards, and any other debris prior to being processed.
- Ensure all bails are bailed safely and ready for transport.
- Move bails onto pallets and transport them for shipping by operating a forklift or pallet jack.
- Process all non-recyclable material.
- Clean and maintain the equipment and work area.
- Periodically empty all trash cans throughout the facility.
- Clean and maintain the bail storage area.
- Operate snow removal equipment during the winter (For Colorado Stores) to keep all of the walkways and building entrances cleared and safe.
- Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the recycling equipment.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared for and cleaned up to AFW standards.
- Report all equipment issues and potential liabilities along with recommendations for solving such issues to the AFW management team.
- Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision.
- Maintain a neat and safe work environment.

+ Responsible for collecting, loading, and transporting waste, recycling, and compostable materials to the Emory Recycling Center.
+ Requires lifting and pulling bags/receptacles weighing from 50 to 75 pounds, in addition to mounting and dismounting a truck multiple times per shift.
+ Supports the recording of collected material weights; must have strong organizational skills and the ability to document collections.
+ Assists in facility and vehicle management maintenance.
