**We are willing to train you! We have outstanding opportunities in our production and distribution facilities in Des Moines, IA.** Shift hours are Sunday night thru Thursday night 9pm to 5:30am. This is a full-time on-site role, with the ability to work additional overtime.
**Job Responsibilities**
The key responsibilities include (but are not limited to the following):
+ Responsible for scanning and document all products coming into cooler.
+ Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment (crane operation when certified).
+ Monitor product for quality control and report any issues to supervisor as needed
+ Report any product/packaging issues.
+ Replace any product that tips, spills, or is damaged during load out.
+ Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
+ Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. Complete zone cleaning for assigned area.
+ Follow all required work-safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
+ Ensure proper code date rotation.
+ All other duties as assigned.
**About the Role**
+ Experience with equipment operation, preferably in food manufacturing, but not required
+ Understanding and adherence to quality control procedures
+ Excellent communication skills to effectively work with team members
+ Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve production line issues
+ Good record-keeping skills to accurately document operations
+ Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is a plus
+ Strong work ethic and attention to detail
**Physical Requirements**
+ Must be able to work in a refrigerated work area.
+ Continual movement of empty and full cases and stacks, within the warehouse by using a hook. Individual cases will weigh 48 lbs., with full stacks weighing up to 288 lbs.
+ Frequent lifting and lowering of cases to and from pick bays.
+ Bending, squatting, and twisting of the body will occur while moving products regularly.

We are seeking a self-motivated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team at Final Mile Cold Storage based in Reedley, CA. Cold storage workers play a vital role in maintaining the quality and safety of perishable goods. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing the warehouse itself and the goods stored in it. You will assist in loading and unloading refrigerated truck loads and moving pallets into the freezer for storage or re-stacking. Attention to detail is vital to receiving a load as you will need to document the entire process and catch any issues such as damage to product or incorrect temperatures. Both the palletized product as well as the trailer itself must be thoroughly inspected every time. You must be able to think ahead and come up with the best strategy for placing pallets, considering the duration of time they will be stored before either leaving on one of our own trucks or being picked up by an outside carrier or if they are used in production that we run here, on-site which require being put into rotation. Knowledge of driving a stand-up forklift is a requirement to this position and you must have a clean driving history, preferably with a valid forklift license. Operating heavy machinery comes with high risks so safety is mandatory to protect not only yourself but the other employees that operate in the same warehouse space as you will. In addition to operating forklifts, you will need to know how to use hydraulic pallet jacks and manual jacks. We rely on our warehouse employees to also maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse and freezer space, always keeping in mind the legal standards and requirements. Essential functions and basic duties of position:
- Check bills of lading for accuracy
- Receive and inventory incoming pallets
- Pick and deliver product to the production floor
- Coordinate shipping and/or receiving operations with Warehouse Lead
- Fill in shipping and/or receiving tally documents
- Organize, rotate, maintain and verify existing inventory
- Apply lot stickers to both front and back of received pallet as necessary

Job Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include (but are not limited to the following):
- Responsible for scanning and document all products coming into cooler.
- Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment (crane operation when certified).
- Loading products into trailers for delivery to various customers
- Picking of various customer products to be loaded into trailers
- Janitorial duties
- Moving trailers back and forth between both plant and cooler
- Monitor product for quality control and report any issues to supervisor as needed
- Report any product/packaging issues.
- Replace any product that tips, spills, or is damaged during load out.
- Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Perform housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. Complete zone cleaning for assigned area.
- Follow all required work-safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
- Ensure proper code date rotation.
- All other duties as assigned within job classification.
About the Role
- Experience with equipment operation, preferably in food manufacturing, but not required
- Understanding and adherence to quality control procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with team members
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve production line issues
- Good record-keeping skills to accurately document operations
- Experience with and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Safe Food Quality (SQF) Standards
- Experience with and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is a plus

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in a refrigerated work area.
- Continual movement of empty and full cases and stacks, within the warehouse by using a hook. Individual cases will weigh 48 lbs., with full stacks weighing up to 288 lbs.
- Frequent lifting and lowering of cases to and from pick bays.
- Bending, squatting, and twisting of the body will occur while moving products regularly.
Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- You must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, lifting/ physical capacity test, and a background check. The reputation of our company is very important and we expect our employees to be the same.
- Must be able to successfully acquire a Commercial Driver's License Class A (CDL-A) with Tanker Endorsement within 45 calendar days.
