As a Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for effectively cleaning all assigned areas both inside and outside the manufacturing plant, including equipment, machinery, and general grounds. You will adhere to food safety standards, proficiently use plant touch screens, and follow Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures. Adherence to HAACP principles is essential, and you will demonstrate the safe and proper use of cleaning tools such as squeegees, mops, brooms, hand and floor scrapers, and paint brushes. · Reports all equipment problems to the leadership or supervisor immediately.
· Communicates all matters relating to safety and health and positively promote safety in our operations.
· Understands and follows all general and specific safe job procedures that apply to your job.
· Plans and carries out job assignments without crafting hazards to yourself and other employees.
· Work in confined spaces while following confined space protocols where applicable.
· Work in all conditions including wet, humid, hot, and cold.

**What you'll be doing as a Sanitation Worker:**
+ Riding on the back of garbage or recycling collection truck and collecting solid waste on a designated route
+ Directing driver when pulling out in traffic and backing up, and directing incoming vehicles to dumping area at solid waste disposal facilities
+ Checking operating and safety conditions of vehicles, performing minor servicing, and reporting needed repairs or servicing
+ Assisting driver with various tasks during waste runs

BASIC PURPOSE
Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of division building and related property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sweeps and cleans entire warehouse to maintain required level of cleanliness.
Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
Cleans up any spills or breakages to inventoried product; recoups damages and determines if resalable or must be disposed of per government and U.S. Foodservice food safety requirements.
Performs light maintenance duties as assigned (i.e. replacement of light bulbs, collecting recyclable materials, paper and shrink wrap collection pickup, checking freezer and cooler for leaks or ice build up, etc.)
Prepares various reports and forms to document cleaning schedule, spillages, product damage, etc. May track and order maintenance supplies.
May clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, to include break rooms, rest rooms, test kitchens, offices, etc.
Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas.
Operates scrubber, pallet jack and high lift if required to perform duties.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training: High School education or GED preferred.
Related Experience: Previous custodial experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); able to work with little direct supervision. Experience in operation of warehouse equipment to include: reach trucks, pallet jacks, sweeper, floor scrubber, bailer, hydraulic trash compactor.
