Reporting to the VP of HR for Bon Appetit, the Regional HR Business Partner will provide impactful generalist support & partnership to Regional Vice Presidents and their teams with emphasis in talent development, training, litigation avoidance, organizational development/design, change management, labor productivity, and new business mobilization. This position will have a matrix reporting relationship with other key leadership and will serve as the key HR support leader for teams in place at corporate dining & freestanding restaurant operation sites.
TheRegional HR Business Partner will serve as the strategic business partner for operational leadership and should be the content expert regarding talents strategies, policies & procedures, program implementation, with knowledge of state and local employment legislation. The HRBP must be based in/around the Bay Area and will travel regularly to local accounts.
Responsibilities :
- Participates in senior level interviews for Regional and Operational leadership.
- Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plans.
- Assesses and intervenes in ADA/FMLA/WC cases.
- Conducts climate surveys and exit interviews, as well as reviews Associate and Customer Satisfaction surveys to analyze and monitor levels of associate morale and job satisfaction.
- Prepares reports and recommends procedures to drive labor efficiency.
- Facilitates and creates training material for leadership development based on needs of the business.
- Supports and engages associates on Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
- A solid understanding of all the key HR specialist areas.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Hospitality Management/Integration, Statistics, or related degree.
- A solid understanding of all the key HR specialist areas.
- Five (5) years leading a dynamic, multi site environment (strongly preferred)
- Associate relations experience a must
- Previous operations experience a plus - you're emotionall intelligent, proactive, and anticipatory in your partnership
- Union experience highly desirable.

+ Responsible for leading and coordinating all Human Resource support for the identified client group. Client groups could range from 300 - 500 employees, respectively.
+ Supports the implementation of HR strategy and tactics to the overall business priorities of the organization and effectively manages the execution of these initiatives to result in improved business performance.
+ Serves as a strategic advisor to senior Leader(s) and partners with their respective management team to translate the needs of the business into actionable, value add HR programs and initiatives.
+ Serves as champion, leads or supports business initiatives focused on enhancing organization effectiveness, performance and talent, including but not limited to: Organization Design and Effectiveness, Organization and Capabilities Review (potential ratings, succession plans, development plans, and calibration sessions), Performance Management and Rewards, Training/Development (nominations, coaching), Employee Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion.

What you will do
- Serves as a day-to-day go-to resource for employees of assigned business units and/or employee population.
- Serves as liaison for Hunt Military Communities for HR functions, leads employee relations initiatives, manages HR projects, and creates and supports engagement and retention programs that meet the needs of the business.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues for assigned portfolios. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Maintains detailed and accurate documentation for all employee relations issues.
- Consults with management and leaders and provides HR guidance and recommendations. Provides day-to-day performance management recommendations to management and leaders (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reduces legal risks, and ensures regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and drive engagement and retention.
- Monitors company disciplinary actions to ensure the consistent, uniform, and fair application of company policies and procedures across the division.
- Supports turnover initiatives for the division. Prepares exit interview forms, notifies appropriate personnel of terminations, and provides proper benefits and/or unemployment information to terminated employees as applicable.
- Partners with the entire HR team across Hunt Companies and develops and delivers meaningful solutions to drive business results.
- Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation, and supports Directors and managers with the Corrective Action process.
- Creates and conducts onboarding New Hire Orientation Training programs for all associates and managers.
- Participates in the development and evaluation of training programs. Provides follow-up to ensure training objectives are met. Conducts Human Resources New Manager, Performance Management, and Corrective Action Training for all newly hired/promoted people managers within the division.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal employment requirements.
- Stays current on recent federal, state, and case law changes and monitors labor law updates and newsletters for changes that may affect HR.
- Treats the sensitive employee data with the highest integrity and with strict confidentiality.
- Conducts and provides recommendations for Stay Interviews on high-turnover sites.
- Supports and manages the reasonable accommodation process, including ensuring the interactive process is completed and documented for all employee cases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Human Resources, Administration, Management, or related field. Required or
- Master's Degree graduate degree Preferred
- minimum of five to seven years' in progressive HR experience. Required and
- experience with HRIS systems and full cycle recruitment tools and resources. Required

Compensation
We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $89,300 - $114,200, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the general Hiring Range for the role. Hiring at the top of the range is reserved for exceptionally qualified candidates. We consider internal and external factors as a part of every final offer. We also offer a generous total compensation and benefits package.

Handles complex employee relations matters to include terminations, counseling, coaching and documentation

Interprets and explains human resources policies, procedures, labor laws, standards, and regulations

Serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and helping resolve work-related problems

Addresses employees and advises managers on organizational policy matters such as; equal employment opportunity, work complaints, harassment allegations and other employee concerns

Primary HR partner for all HR investigations within the division

Actively participate on a variety of HR or HRIS projects serving operations

Advises leadership on progressive disciplinary process

Review exit interviews, analyze data and report on trends for division
-
Manages the process for employee evaluations and supports talent review processes

Monitors and evaluates headcount, turnover and other relevant HR metrics
-
Works with recruiters to determine staffing needs and back up all recruiting functions as necessary

Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in HR or HR related field is preferred

2+ years HR experience
-
5+ years of multi-unit experience, retail industry, or restaurant industry experience is preferred

Skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications, HR specific software, strong presentation skills, willingness and ability to learn from other departments, innovator, good verbal and written communication skills, strong time management skills, strong organization skills, can-do attitude, sense of urgency, ability to take constructive criticism and strong work ethic

Travel is required and overnight travel will be involved; this position will be on the road visiting Love's locations at least 80-90 days per year .

GFL Environmental is seeking a Regional HR Business Partner to join our growing team in Chesapeake, Virginia or Richmond, Virginia. In this role, the Regional HR Business Partner will be responsible for managing employee relations, HR policy and programs, compensation administration, career development, performance management, and organizational planning. The Regional HR Business Partner will also own the following responsibilities:
- Oversee employee relations for the division, including performance management, termination, conflict resolution, and investigations; act as a coach for managers and employees.
- Partner with Corporate, Area, and Division Management to design and implement HR programs that support business direction and HR strategy.
- Advise managers and supervisors on legal situations related to discipline, termination, hiring, promotion, and other HR matters.
- Manage training delivery and facilitate training programs across the assigned area.
- Create, communicate, and interpret policies and procedures for employees and managers.
- Act as mediator, counselor, and facilitator in disputes between employees and managers/supervisors.
- Provide guidance to HR Representatives on employment issues relating to branch and division managers and employees.
- Provide due diligence support for mergers & acquisitions, including feedback on culture, employment, benefits, and related issues.
Your experience and education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, along with a minimum of 7 years progressive HR experience in a multi-site environment.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, codes, and regulations with proven ability to apply them in complex employee relations cases.
- Broad HR generalist expertise across employee relations, benefits, training, and policy development.
- Working towards or completion of your PHR/SPHR certification
- Exceptional communication and influence skills - able to write, present, and advise at all organizational levels with clarity and confidence.
- Proven leadership of remote teams - skilled at guiding, coaching, and developing HR staff across geographically dispersed locations.
- High resilience under pressure - able to manage competing priorities and heavy deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to produce reports, presentations, and analysis.
