Our client is looking for a Field Service Technician for a 3-month contract in Waukesha, WI 53186.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.

**Required Skills & Experience**
+ 1-3 years hardware repair hands-on experience (printers, PCs, POS, etc.) break-fix, use of power tools (e.g. drills,,)and familiar with the ticketing system.
+ Lexmark certifications and experience.
+ Experience with Lexmark printer break-fix and equipment installs, and HP Dell Lenovo.
+ Previous Field Service and/or Desktop, POS, printer Break/Fix experience
+ Excellent technical troubleshooting and customer service skills

**Job Summary**
The Service Technician provides technical service for our Surface Treatment and Induction Sealing product lines to include extensive customer interaction. The Service Technician will possess electronic training and technical skills. The service technician will gain detailed working knowledge of our products. In addition to supporting customers in the field, you will also provide support through phone, email, and virtual meetings. The service technician will also be trained in quality checks and the testing process of new products.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Professional interaction with customers in person and over the phone guiding them through machine start-ups and machine repairs.
+ Tracking service cases in CRM to ensure timely follow ups and accurate record keeping.
+ Travel to customers' plants to repair and/or install our products. (Approximately 30%)
+ Competent customer service skills, with the ability to analyze the root cause and find solutions to issues.
+ Train customer maintenance personnel. Schedule service calls, calls to include start-up, warranty, and other equipment repair and maintenance.
+ Review and resolve customer issues with Engineering, Sales and plant personnel.
+ Troubleshoot and accurately evaluate problems both mechanical and electrical to determine services and/or repairs; analyze inspection reports.
+ Manages and prioritizes schedules and assignments for work activities based on customer needs and as needed engages appropriate resources to ensure top level customer service.
+ Ensure timely collaboration with the team to report specific machine issues.
+ Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements for functionality and safety.
+ Audit and present opportunities for additional company products and services to the customer.
+ Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, or outside contractors.
+ Assist in the settlement of product warranty claims as required.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ An associate degree in Electronics or similar degree.
+ Three to four years of relevant experience are preferred but not required.
**Competencies**
+ A strong working knowledge in the mechanical and electrical fields.
+ Ability to effectively use and read measuring instruments, such as multi-meter, amp meter, micrometer, etc.
+ Knowledge to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
+ Knowledge of PLC programming is a Plus.
+ Excellent organizational, planning and written/verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
+ Solid computer skills (MS Office applications and Windows-based programs).

- Problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, District Service teams
- Completion of field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance, and startup data sheets
- Working with your Manager and/or Regional Service Director to resolve complex escalated issues
- Continuous learning and training on various products both in the field and in the classroom
- Travel throughout the region for local customer support or even countrywide travel. This includes overnight travel by vehicle/air.
- Assist senior technicians and support Project Management on larger system start-ups
- Work alongside larger teams of FSRs and collaborate with Project Managers on higher complexity projects
- Act on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues as required
This may be the next step in your career journey if you have:
- An Associate's degree, trade/vocational certification, Military training or similar experience in electrical-related disciplines.
- The ability to read blueprints/schematics
- Thorough understanding of principles of AC and DC power, various AC and DC supply circuit components
- 2+ years of field service repair and customer service with UPS (Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, power distribution and switchgear, seamless automatic transfer switches (ATS), power distribution units, electrical, electro-mechanical or electronics related equipment
- 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
- Must possess good safety practices and adhere to the company's safety procedures/polices (lock out tag out, comply with all safety programs and complete safety related trainings on time.
- Identify hazards present in the work area and report all safety matters, incidents, near misses, to management or safety representative.
- NFPA-70E or OSHA experience is preferred
- Safe driving and vehicle operations skills
- Skilled at utilizing test and diagnostic equipment
- Experience reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, and operation manuals
- The ability to write service reports, correspondence, procedures, effectively present information and respond to customer questions.
- Work frequently requires strenuous physical tasks, including bending, stooping and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Work outside in a variety of environmental extremes such as heat, cold, rain, and dust.
- Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time, including working in small confined spaces.
Within your first 180 days, you'll experience a unique, team-oriented welcome with 8 weeks of in-person training in our brand-new state-of-the-art training facility in Dallas, TX with all expenses paid. Your Impact
In this position, you’ll be accountable for:
- Reporting to your manager product failure trends and serviceability issues with necessary supported documentation, ensuring accurate information and record keeping.
- Meeting customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate Field/Shop/on-site maintenance.
- Properly maintaining all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
- Showcasing strong customer communication and satisfaction skills.
- Maintaining the performance of assigned machines.
- Facilitating performance at a level which helps to achieve the branch/district’s overall metric targets.

Do you meet these requirements?
- Hold a High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Possess a basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to successfully complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class.
- Ability to travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
- Required to take all necessary steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter the customers' premises.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).
We are providing the anticipated hourly rate for this role: $19.00 to 26.31 hourly.
This role is eligible for a transportation allowance.
