**Job Summary:**
The Senior Product Service Field Engineer will support complex technical product problem resolution with Caterpillar Dealers to ensure customers receive the product performance, reliability, durability, and availability expected as part of the Cat brand promise. The incumbent will provide on-site support for the full range of diesel and gas electric power product and systems including generators, controls, cooling systems, enclosures, and balance of plant. They will lead issue investigation, root cause analysis, and develop and implement corrective actions.
**What you will do:**
+ Make regular visits to customer sites to provide technical support, troubleshooting and complex issue resolution for Electric Power product and systems. This can include performing site testing, troubleshooting and validation of product improvements
+ Train and assist Caterpillar dealer personnel and others in troubleshooting complex product issues
+ Provide leadership, deep technical expertise and on-site support to CPI projects. This will include development and execution of interim and permanent corrective actions as part of a wider team including engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers and commercial teams
+ Evaluate product and processes to identify defects in manufacturing and design. Modify designs to maximize production efficiency and product quality
+ Solicit and gather internal and external feedback to identify potential new products and/or improvements to existing products that improve product serviceability
+ Write technical specifications and instructions to ensure product quality and performance. Tracking and managing the status of projects from inception to release
**What you will have:**
+ **Service Excellence:** Extensive experience and knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
+ **Problem Solving:** Extensive experience and knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
+ **Relationship Management:** Extensive experience and knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
+ **Technical Excellence:** Extensive experience and knowledge of electric power generation systems and applications; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
**Additional information:**
+ This role can be located in any of the following locations: Griffin, Georgia, Lafayette, Indiana, Dallas, Texas, Mossville, Illinois, Alpharetta, Georgia or Seguin, Texas
+ This role may travel up to 60-80% of the time and will be required to be in-office while not traveling

**Summary Pay Range:**
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.

Job DescriptionThe Opportunity
Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis processors.
You will report to the Assistant Center Manager.
The Role
- Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
- Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to specific alarms or signals that may occur during the process.
- Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
- Maintain alertness and awareness to any reaction donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notifies appropriate staff.
- Use Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to record incidents that occur during the pheresis process, such as machine alerts and alarms, volume variances and donor adverse events.
- Use PDA to link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor.
- Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
- Ensure the accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Understand the policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
- Maintain clean efficient work environment, and ensures sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed. Follows all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures. Promotes safety in all actions.
- Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
- May be cross-trained in other areas to meet the needs of the business.
- Bilingual skills may be required, at the discretion of the organization, to meet the needs of the business.
- Perform job-related duties as assigned.
Your skills and experience
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Will perform basic math calculations
Working Conditions

- Understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions
- Understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
- Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
- Occasionally perform tasks while standing and walking up to 100% of time

- Occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures and to blood borne pathogens • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas
- Required to work overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs
