Seeking a Vulnerability Remediation Specialist 3 that is able to work with a dynamic team of system engineers and administrators responsible for design, implementation, operations & maintenance, and cybersecurity for large complex resilient hardware and virtualized infrastructure. This position will support Cybersecurity / Information Assurance for all customer managed systems, applications, and hardware.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and independently detect, prioritize, and remediate identified vulnerabilities across applications, endpoints, databases, networking devices, and mobile, cloud and third-party assets.
+ Administer software deployment tools such as SCCM, PDQ, Group Policy, PowerShell scripts, etc. to deploy software/patches and apply configuration changes necessary to remediate vulnerabilities.
+ Support and monitor patch management compliance across the infrastructure to align to audit requirements.
+ Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain end point client health to ensure patching compliance.
+ Apply DISA STIGs for Operating Systems and applications and remediate compliance variances.
+ Leverage vulnerability database sources to understand weaknesses and their probability and remediation options, including vendor-supplied fixes and workarounds.
+ Actively collaborate with ISSO to develop, maintain, and enhance cyber security controls.
+ Collaborate with security groups such as Red Teams, threat intelligence and risk management to form a holistic team dedicated to thwarting attackers and reducing attack surface.
+ Assist multiple teams on the implementation of configuration management for security hardening.
+ Work as a team to consistently learn and share advanced skills and foster team excellence.
+ Participate in weekly vulnerability remediation planning meetings.
Qualifications
**Clearance/Citizen Type:** Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; **ACTIVE Secret clearance REQUIRED** .
**Education:**
+ Education and experience: 5+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a Related Engineering/IT Discipline.

CDM Smith's Environmental Services Group is seeking an Engineer, Scientist or Geologist with a.) experience modeling contaminant transport through sediment caps and/or b.) a working knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) in remediation projects combined with basic geotechnical engineering experience (significant academic coursework may suffice) related to remediation projects located anywhere within the United States.
The candidate must have demonstrated expertise working independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team on remediation projects for a variety of clients including those in the Federal and Public sector. Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for a higher grade level than what is proposed for this advertisement.
Roles and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following regarding sediment remediation projects:
- Understanding the scientific and engineering principles of modeling contaminant fate and transport through sediment caps in subaqueous systems. Experience with CapSim is preferred.
- Experience using CAD to develop drawings for contaminated sediment dredging and/or soil excavation projects, including an ability to follow direction from a senior engineer with minimal continual oversight
- Experience performing slope stability modeling.
- Experience with the development of field sampling programs and subsequent data analyses to support the development of conceptual site models, mass balances, and data-based understanding of fate and transport processes. This would include experience with interpreting results from sediment cores, bathymetric surveys, etc.
- Experience with numerical and/or desktop model development, calibration, and application.
- Experience evaluating the feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and assisting in the development of sediment remediation designs for large contaminated sediment sites involving multiple stakeholders.
