X2 Senior New Business Development Underwriters - Bristol & Southampton (Remote Working) Reference: AB/481 Basic Salary £45K to £5K Plus Excellent Benefits If you are an experienced commercial underwriter who is looking for a new exciting career opportunity with an exceptional MGA/company then this could be an ideal career move. This Senior Development Underwriter position is a home-based role with their Head Office being based in London where you will not be micromanaged, and a great deal of autonomy would be provided. In additional you will be provided with additional support from senior management to ensure you can maximise every possible opportunity to being successful in performing this role to its full potential. Due to the company going through a significant growth and development programme this is an ideal time to be joining the business where you’ll work the broker markets. They are currently looking for 2 new underwriters with based in and around Bristol and the other in and around Southampton. This will include inheriting an existing portfolio of insurance intermediaries focusing on developing new business through the current panel of key brokers. New broker partners, and ones that are maybe underperforming who might need a bit of TLC. To apply for this role, you will need to have previous commercial insurance experience and be comfortable working to sales targets set by management. Within the role you will be required to:- Operate collaboratively with key brokers in the region and build positive relationships to increase the flow of new business activity. Reviewing and underwriting of new business quotations across all products within our underwriting appetite including any queries within the SLA’s of the business. Undertake Broker Visits and Underwriting Surgeries at Broker offices to increase brand awareness and establish contacts. Be an Escalation point for Key Brokers. Liaise and establish good working relations with the Technical Underwriting Team and key stakeholders. Regular communication with the Business Development Managers and Regional Directors to develop and maintain broker relationships and strategic planning. Act as a referral point for underwriters within the wider team. Take initiative, within the context of the role, to improve work processes and promote overall corporate goals.
