**Job Title: Repair Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing electrical power supplies and magnetic components used in the aerospace industry. You will specifically work with aircraft Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), Generator Control Units (GCUs), and related systems. Your work will involve a variety of applications such as permanent magnet generators for engine OEM companies, aircraft APU's for fly-by-wire applications, and wound field generators for main or accessory power on aircraft and UAVs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Overhaul or repair components according to the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Service Bulletins, Technical Data Sheets (TDS), and relevant blueprints using hand tools.
+ Perform test functions as per Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and determine the cause of failures.
+ Conduct teardowns, overhauls, and functional testing of various APU and GCU units and their components.
+ Ensure all repair work is performed according to procedures and correct document revisions.
+ Utilize problem-solving skills to diagnose equipment issues, decide on repair versus replacement, and consult with partners and inspectors.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ years of relevant experience in repairing mechanical and/or electrical components.
+ Ability to read basic blueprints and shop drawings.
+ Capability to pass FAA screening for placement in DOT drug pool.
+ Physical ability to lift and handle delicate equipment up to 40 pounds.
+ Proof of education (minimum High School Diploma or GED required).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, calipers, pliers, and micrometers.
+ Experience with mechanical, electrical, and voltage troubleshooting.

**Work Environment**
The work is conducted in a repair station area within an OEM that manufactures power generation and conversion equipment for commercial aircraft. The standard schedule is 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for earlier or later start times. The environment supports a collaborative and autonomous work style, where technicians can make informed decisions on repairs.

This is a Contract position based out of MILWAUKIE, OR.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.

We are looking for a Repair Technician to preform the following responsibilities:
-Performs the in-house repair of warranty and non-warranty electronic and/or hydro-mechanical items/products returned from the field to provide a fully functional unit that meets quality standards and applicable specifications for exchange stock or return to customer.
-Tests and calibrates all repaired items as required to ensure original design specifications are met.
-Provides service sales with quotes of time and material for repairs using established guidelines for pricing.
-Working with the Factory Repair Planner, monitors schedules and factory routing to ensure returns to customers
-Evaluates failed units to ensure cost effectiveness of repair versus replacing defective components.
-Completes repair records in an accurate and timely manner.
-Provides feedback, including design changes, to engineering for continued quality improvement on products.
-Design modifications to modules to compensate for component changes or availability of obsolete components when engineering support has ended.
-Design and build test fixtures to effectively repair and test products arriving in the facility. May require configuration of several system components and coordination with other facilities, equipment and resources.
-Performs other duties as required.
