As a Building Maintenance Repair Technician, you will play an important role in maintaining the infrastructure, grounds, and equipment of our institution. This includes carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work, addressing issues with doors, locks, windows, and mechanical equipment. They troubleshoot and repair various systems, including washers, dryers, water heaters, and fire alarm systems, ensuring smooth operation of campus facilities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Repairs and maintains physical structure in an establishment using a variety of hand or power tools; does basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical repair; fixes doors, locks, windows, hinges, catches, etc.; repairs mechanical equipment in the building; changes plugs, replaces worn wire, light bulbs, etc.; unstops drains, install toilets and plumbing fixture replacements; installs and repairs screens, window panes, etc.; may supervise trainees.

- Does re-keying, repair of campus locks, lubrication, and tune-up of door hardware to ensure smooth operation.

- Collect campus trash and recycling as scheduled.

- Writes work orders to report damage or conditions that require attention, determining the urgency of the repair and take precautions to ensure safety to others is established (lockout/tagout, safety barriers, warning signage, restricted access etc.).
- Support school programs, activities and events - equipment delivery and staging, tent setup/breakdown, waste management and any other support requested by the maintenance supervisor.
- Cares for and maintains lawns, hedges, trees, shrubbery, walks, medial strips and other planted areas by cleaning, planting, watering, fertilizing, trimming, mowing, sweeping, and raking; cleans comfort stations, assist with swimming pool duties; maintains athletic fields in good condition; may operate light motorized or power equipment; cleans tennis courts. Hauls trash to proper dump site; helps dispose of dead livestock and maintains the school septic system.

**THE ROLE** : The **Maintenance Repair Technician** will be responsible for the diagnosing and repairing of multiple types of production equipment including assembly and testing. In this role, the individual will also be responsible for all plant electrical, mechanical, and plumbing operations and repairs. + Work from complex drawings and data, manuals, and handbooks. Use a wide variety of measuring instruments and electronic analyzing and testing equipment. Thorough knowledge of electronic components, of digital and analog circuitry, hydraulic systems and machine tool principles essential. Equivalent of formal training of: 1-2 years technical college training, of 2 years of electronics schools.
+ 4-6 years of experience with relevant equipment and techniques.

**Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:**
+ Troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as passenger loading bridges/gate services in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operational manuals and manufacturer's specifications using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.
+ Observe devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate and diagnose causes of trouble.
+ Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists or other lifting devices, hand tools and power tools.

**What you'll do:**
+ Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanism or replace worn or defective parts and reassemble following standard and prescribed safety regulations.
+ Need a basic understanding of PLC logic
+ Adjust equipment to required specification and check to assure effective operation.
+ Check sequence of machine cycle, determine type of machine malfunction, make all necessary repairs applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory.
+ Perform electrical test operations.
+ Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals and testing procedures.
+ Troubleshoot all defective printed circuit assembly boards.
+ Perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed.
+ Detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision.
+ Use of judgment to comply with instructions or prescribed routines and to make decisions
**Qualifications:**
**Required (Basic) Qualifications:**
+ Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
+ Journeymen or three (3) years of manufacturing maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade
+ Experience with ladder logic circuit diagrams, industrial motor control schematics, and blueprint reading.
