In this role as the Sr. Technical Writing Supervisor, you will lead a team of experienced content developers and manage the development and maintenance of technical documentation for solutions across the Fire and Life Safety line of business. You will work in a global environment and collaborate with the content development leadership team, product owners, offering managers, engineers, developers, UI designers, operations and other stakeholders to deliver documentation. The documentation of the solutions includes software and hardware and should be designed for installers and end-users. You have a passion to lead and develop technical writers and content developers to create best in class content. You have the natural ability to evaluate and analyze complex information and then clearly explain them to others in simple terms. Ideally, you have experience in a highly technical field, experience working in a SAFe Agile environment and have led a team of internal and external resources to deliver high quality documentation on target to project timelines.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Lead an experienced group of content developers, taking responsibility for their skills and career development
+ Responsible for the development of comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
+ Manage complex documentation projects, coordinating with global functional teams, and using SAFe Agile and Kanban methodologies to deliver on scope and on time
+ Develop and manage resource plans and budgets for document creation, maintenance and localization
+ Manage documentation reviews (internally and externally with regulatory bodies) and perform technical editing where required
+ Establish and maintain standard indexed repositories for storing and versioning of source content, published content, and translation memories
+ Apply modern technical writing techniques and tools to deliver an excellent customer experience

**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ Degree in Technical Communication or a relevant technical field
+ 2+ years of experience managing content developers
+ 3+ years of experience in a technical documentation or technical editing/reviewing role
+ 3+ years of experience negotiating and working with external technical writing resources or a global writing team
+ High level of fluency in English - written and oral
**WE VALUE**
+ Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, or a related field
+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
+ Experience with modern development processes and tools, such as SAFe Agile and Jira
+ Experience using Madcap Flare, Adobe Framemaker, or other XML tools to create documentation
