Job Description

full-time
Our client, a rapidly expanding multinational corporation, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a specialization in Financial Reporting to join their fully remote finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to contribute to the accuracy and integrity of our global financial statements from the comfort of your home office. You will play a crucial role in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with US GAAP. You will be responsible for journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. This role involves supporting external audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation, and interacting with auditors to provide requested information. You will assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data. Variance analysis, investigating discrepancies, and preparing management reports will be integral to your duties. You will also be involved in ad-hoc financial analysis projects as required by management. Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations, and ensuring our reporting practices are compliant, is essential. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote work environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or progress towards it is strongly preferred. A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a significant focus on financial reporting and US GAAP, is required. Proven experience with month-end and year-end close processes is essential. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are mandatory. Strong understanding of internal controls and audit processes is necessary. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical, especially for effective collaboration in a remote setting. Experience working in a multinational corporation or with consolidated financial statements is a significant plus. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in financial reporting with a company that values its remote workforce and offers excellent growth potential. Our client is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion across its global operations.
