**Summary:**
Catalent Pharma Solutions is seeking a dynamic leader to join us as Director, Product Development. The Director, Product Development (PD) is responsible for providing operational, scientific and technical leadership for all product development activities, which includes customer-focused programs and programs based with other Catalent operations. **The Role:**
+ Development and management of 4-8 reports including annual reviews and performance management of all direct reports. Direct reports may also supervise full-time employees. Total group under supervision may include >20 employees.
+ Manage department salary budget, hiring/staffing, and training budget.
+ Final review of work proposals, timelines, reports and system/procedural changes. Lead strategic and tactical scientific discussions with clients and scientific staff.

+ Strong understanding of physics and engineering fundamentals.

+ Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and sit for extended periods.
Preferred:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
+ Experience with electrical connector design, plastic injection molding, or progressive die stamping.
+ Relevant technical or engineering experience may substitute for formal education.

Work with Design Engineering to run simulations pre-silicon to validate test strategies. Provide feedback to Design Engineering, Test Solutions Engineering, and others in Product Engineering. Debug and identifying root causes for failures using data, electrical and physical analysis techniques. Monitor yields to ensure they are meeting projections and expeditiously investigate root causes when they are not. Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing and Marketing. This includes crafting and delivering presentations, participating in meetings with Fab, Design, and other teams. Provide technical training and expertise. This includes providing on-the-Job training for new engineers, assisting with data interpretation, acting as a product-specific point of contact and attending technical seminars. Support critical Micron initiatives through support of high-value-added projects. Support the local team by developing tools that help to improve processes Innovate new, optimized test strategies and features. May telecommute part-time.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or in a Development Engineer-related occupation. Position requires education or experience in:
1. ASIC design flow using Verilog, Static Timing Analysis;
2. Fault analysis using Synopsys Tetramax ATPG;
3. Scan Chain based Logic Testing and Debug;
4. Python and C programming;
5. Circuit simulations using hspice, Verilog;
6. ASIC and memory testing using Built-In-Self-Test;
7. Semiconductor fabrication process.

The technician will assist in the development, testing, and refinement of beverage formulations, working closely with R&D scientists, operations, and quality teams. This hands-on role includes bench work, sample preparation, trial support, and documentation.
