Nemours is looking for a Research Projects Specialist, Senior . The role of Research Projects Specialist, Senior is to facilitate all clinical and translational research activities for the department, division, center, and/or assigned program. This position will serve as a vital primary resource partner for investigators to facilitate the conduct of various research studies and liaise with research administration and various institutional committees. The incumbent will serve as the lead point of contact for assigned areas and provide day-to-day support for ongoing studies, data management, publications, presentations, posters, and other academic work as assigned. This position will also oversee projects and assumes significant responsibility for the operation of program activities, including the research design, conduct, analysis, interpretation of results and reporting of research studies and experiments. Incumbent possesses advanced knowledge of research practices and directs and teaches others in those practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
  • At least 5 years experience with clinical and translational research projects

Essential Functions:

• Read and understand grant proposal requirements and develop plans for proposal completion that includes systematically collecting components (e.g. biosketches, letters of support, facilities descriptions, personnel information), establish timelines, create/maintain collaborative workspaces, and work with investigator(s) to complete all application requirements.
• Provide support to the PI to ensure grant proposal and responses to the funding agency/program requirements and expectations are complete and clearly written.
• Act as the point-person throughout grant preparation to communicate information to and from the Principal Investigator, research team, sponsor, Office of Sponsored Programs, administrative directors, and finance team.
• Provide technical writing, formatting, and editing support, inclusive of budget justifications, biographical sketches, institutional background descriptions, and other proposal documents.
• Identify and escalate any initial concerns related to each grant or research project to PI.
• Notify stakeholders of completed submissions, financial status, concerns, close-outs, etc.
• Oversee exempt clinical research projects and operations within the department and divisions.
• Contribute to the creation of research projects; set-up the required equipment and supplies required. Collaborate with scientific and medical community as needed.
• Facilitate regulatory support for research programs and oversee maintenance of all required regulatory documents.
• Maintain scientific knowledge and understanding of peer-reviewed publications for application to current methodologies.
• Help the Principal Investigator prepare presentations for scientific meetings, describe research methodology and results; prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals; and prepare grant applications.
• Point of administrative contact for research collaboration with funding agencies such as NIH, Florida Department of Health etc. to foster scientific ideas and possible approaches for new specific funding announcements
• Engage in and actively follow the five Nemours Associate Core Competencies - Cultural Stewardship; Relationship Management; Commitment to Improvement and Quality; Effective Communication and Champions Change.
• Complete annual Nemours mandatory training as assigned.
• Perform additional miscellaneous lab duties and responsibilities, as assigned supervisor.

This position will manage the Winship Education and Training team and activities, under oversight of the Winship AD of Education and Training. The Spur Climate Hub is designed to elevate CSU's climate-related knowledge and expertise and extend its reach beyond academia. The Climate Hub's mission is to:

Position Summary
The CSU Spur Climate Hub and the School of Global Environmental Sustainability (SoGES) seek a versatile, detail-oriented, and proactive Research and Special Projects Manager to manage and support a variety of projects and initiatives across the Climate Hub and the School. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in sustainability and climate change, robust experience in event planning, and a demonstrated ability to think ahead. The ideal candidate also enjoys working across teams, has research experience in a related field, and can represent these initiatives with partners, contributing to mission-driven work in a dynamic academic setting. The Project Manager will contribute to operational, research-related, and engagement activities and occasionally provide direct support to both the Climate Hub and the SoGES Directors. This position is based at CSU Spur, with occasional travel to the CSU Fort Collins campus.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead the operational planning, through coordinating logistics, content, and speakers of Climate Hub and SoGES events, including conferences, talks and receptions, as well as launch and networking events.
+ Coordinate Climate Hub projects, (such as transdisciplinary research projects, industry consortia initiatives, training courses, and on-demand climate research services) including liaising with internal and external partners and participants, developing project plans, timelines and deliverables, ensuring timely delivery of products and services, and other tasks as assigned.
