Job Description
The Senior Research Statistician, Statistics is responsible for providing statistical support to the research and development organization. Specific areas of work may include clinical trials, patient safety, and global medical affairs (GMA). The Senior Research Statistician works in partnership with experts in multiple disciplines to advance medicines to our patients.
Responsibilities:
+ Contribute to design, analysis and reporting of clinical trials or other scientific research studies. Assist with development of protocols and/or statistical analysis plans (or product safety analysis plans/integrated summary of safety analysis plans/analysis plans for GMA evidence generation) with details for programming implementation. Work under supervision to implement sound statistical methodology in scientific investigations.
+ Assist in identifying scientifically appropriate data collection instruments. Identify and report data issues or violations of study assumptions. Provide programming specifications for derived variables and analysis datasets. Collaborate with Data Science in preparing for database lock.
+ With supervision perform statistical analyses as per the analysis plan. Collaborate with Statistical Programming to ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs according to agreed-upon timelines. Evaluate appropriateness of available software for planned analyses and assess needs for potential development of novel statistical methodology.
+ With supervision, develop strategy for data presentation and inference. Ensure appropriate interpretation of statistical deliverables in collaboration with other functions. Collaborate in publication of scientific research. Ensure accuracy and internal consistency of reports and publications, including tables, listings, and figures. Ensure the accuracy of the statistical component of scientific reports and/or publications with high quality.
+ Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Clearly explain statistical concepts to non-statisticians. Provide responses to questions and pursue analyses suggested by data under supervision. Qualifications
+ MS (with 4+ years of experience) or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a highly related field.
+ High degree of technical competence and effective communication skills, both oral and written

+ Able to identify data or analytical issues, and assist with providing solutions by either applying own skills and knowledge or seeking help from others

Medical Affairs and Health Technology Assessment (MA&HTA) Statistics is responsible for partnering with AbbVie MA and other corporate functions to provide expertise in biostatistics and mathematics. + You will use both proprietary and commercial CFD solvers.
+ Participate in validation & verification efforts to advance computational methodologies and/or to demonstrate new technologies.
+ Interface with experimentalists to ensure high quality data acquisition.
+ Develop ideas and concepts to improve the combustion efficiency and thermal performance and operability of various components in GE Aerospace products.
+ Collaborate with the GE Aerospace engineering community to communicate and validate state-of-the-art combustion and thermal prediction methodologies and analysis systems.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines OR Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines with at least 5 years of relevant experience
+ Experience in geometry modeling and meshing. Specifically, in computational geometry, commercial pre-processing packages, computer science, data structures and software development.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in meshing & using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), hi-fidelity LES based approach and high-performance computing.
+ Experience and knowledge of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and CFD.

The base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $150,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Reporting to the Data Operations Lead in the DuPont Water Solutions business, the Data Analysis Intern will be responsible for evaluating data integrity to support the business functions. DWS has multiple sources for its databases and conflicts must be researched and resolved. The intern will work in Microsoft Excel identifying errors or missing data, leverage AI and other sources of information to resolve the errors and propose solutions. The intern will be able to meet with members of our DWS cross functional teams and learn how we use our data in day-to-day and long-term decision making (supply chain, product management, marketing, strategy, finance).
Some possible work assignments might be:

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Learning Model Updates:
- Update training and test model databases with new or amended synthetic textual and image data.
- Modify and refine machine learning data creation, annotation, and rating guidelines.
- Initiate model training processes using internal tools and command-line interfaces.
- Evaluate the performance of trained models to gauge their efficacy and readiness for deployment.

- Apply basic knowledge of natural language processing and linguistics to data processing tasks.
- Ensure linguistic accuracy in all processed and annotated data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics or Computational Linguistics or a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
