Safe Passages disrupts the cycle of poverty by engaging youth and families to build and drive a continuum of services that supports student success and community development.

Safe Passages is a non-profit organization committed to disrupting the cycle of poverty by supporting our local community. We serve over 5,000 children and families annually through our strategies that span across the life spectrum of birth through young adulthood, including Early Childhood, School Linked Services, Juvenile Justice, and Career Pathways. Safe Passages' work is based on the premises that access to educational opportunity, health services, and family support should not be dictated by race or socio-economic status, and that healthy and supported youth are better prepared to learn and succeed.

Job Summary:

Safe Passages aims to integrate education and social services at school sites in order to make school communities catalysts for social change within the larger neighborhood context. Beginning this year, Safe Passages will be a host site for the Alameda County Office of Education Opportunity Academy which enrolls students ages 16+. The Opportunity Academy offers independent studies programs in order for students to fulfill their high school degree requirements. The Family Resource Center (FRC) Coordinator will work as part of an integrated team at the Safe Passages Community and Wellness Center to support the development of services and partnerships necessary to meet low income families basic needs, and socio-economic mobility. The Coordinator will work directly with students and their families to help them secure public and private resources. The goal of the program is to increase participants engagement in their education and to help move individuals and communities towards a pathway of self-sufficiency. The Coordinator will report to the Community Engagement and Development Director.

Essential Functions:

The FRC Coordinator will work as part of a team with the Safe Passages Community and Economic Development Unit to deliver family resources and college and career programs to vulnerable communities with a focus on Opportunity Academy students and their families. Specific responsibilities relating to this job include:
  • Working closely with ACOE Opportunity Academy lead staff to identify and coordinate service needs and priorities
  • Conducting ongoing outreach and engagement of youth and families to inform them of the Opportunity Academy and FRC's resources and opportunities
  • Ongoing relationship building with community partners and funders
  • Ongoing data tracking of services
  • Supporting extended day family engagement events
  • Supporting caseloads related to college and career transition efforts and public benefit enrollment
  • Supervision of a full-time VISTA responsible for outreach and food distributions

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate for the position of Coordinator will have:

Position Summary

As the Steamfitter, you will perform troubleshooting, construction, rebuilding, and repair work to the HVAC, refrigeration, chiller, and steam systems of WRC, Wisconsin Women's Resource Center and Winnebago Mental Health Institution at the journeyman skill level. Additional duties include:
  • Assisting engineering in designing projects,
  • Procuring materials,
  • Maintaining inventory,
  • Fabricating repair parts,
  • Rebuilding valves and traps, and

Job Details

This position requires the ability to drive a State vehicle. In order to become authorized to drive a State vehicle, you must meet the requirements for the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle policy, which are:
  • Must have a valid driver's license;
  • Must have minimum of two years licensed driving experience;
  • Must be 18 years of age.
Additionally, your driving record MUST NOT reflect any of the following conditions:
  • Three or more moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past two years;

**Essential Functions of the Role**
+ Leads and manages a multidisciplinary team including RNs, certified coders, appeal specialists, and administrative staff supporting the clinical denial management function for BSWH.
+ Recommends and implements strategic and operational plans and priorities for clinical denial management aligned to BSWH overall business objectives.
+ Directs daily operations of clinical denial management, including the development and implementation of utilization policies, procedures, and work processes.
+ Develops key operational and financial reports and establishes key metrics essential for monitoring daily operations.
+ Monitors department performance indicators and identifies opportunities for improving processes.
+ Identifies denial trends and leads initiatives to reduce preventable clinical denials.
+ Develops and presents performance dashboards and reports for senior leadership, hospital senior leadership, and senior medical staff including denials from all payers, Medicare/Medicaid audit activities and key contract enforcement activities.
+ Collaborates with Centralized Business Services (CBS) and other revenue cycle departments to streamline referral and appeals workflows.
+ Supports education and training initiatives to improve documentation and clinical justification practices.
+ Serves as a liaison to outside vendors and contracted services supporting the clinical resource management functions
**Key Success Factors**
+ Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field. Master's degree preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle
+ 3+ years of experience in a leadership role
+ 3+ years Epic experience preferred
