Retail Account Manager

As a Retail Account Manager (RAM), you will be responsible for maximizing sales and achieving company business objectives within the defined territory, ensuring excellence in selling, training/education, customer service, merchandising and operations. Reporting to the Head of Retail, the RAM will manage the retail business for Innersense within National and Retail Accounts. This position will develop and build strong relationships with Retailer Field and Store Leaders to maintain excellent client service with their stores.


Responsibilities

Sales & Management

  • Ensure assigned territory is exceeding sales targets
  • Responsible for direct supervision and selling/education support of 40 plus doors to be visited on agreed upon schedule with manager.
  • Create and execute event strategy to drive results – minimum of 4-5 store led events per month within territory. Corporate supported events to be hosted 3-4 times per year.
  • Optimize in-store merchandising and brand presentation.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and elevate any issues to store leadership and corporate sales teams as needed.
  • Monitor sales reports weekly to identify areas of opportunity and create strategic support plans based upon results.
  • Meet regularly with store management teams to conduct Brand Business Review Meetings and plan strategically to deliver defined results for retail objectives.
  • Must adhere to retailer guidelines for in-store presentation, parameters for store visits, and other needs as outlined in retailer-provided guidelines
  • Partner with Innersense Sales Coordinator & Professional Educators to provide selling expertise and optimize scheduled support days.
  • Complete all reporting as outlined in-store visit expectations for the week
  • Other duties as assigned

Sales & Education

  • Execute best in class Sales and Education visits, high-touch store and staff training, district-level cluster trainings, morning touch bases to increase Sephora cast love and selling skills.
  • Host education programs designed to enhance sell through and growth of the retail business.
  • Fully understand the retailer and Innersense launch and activation calendar to efficiently drive business, e.g. store events, retailer animations, seminars & trainings.
  • Become an Innersense brand expert staying on top of product knowledge and brand activities, delivering this expertise to all cast members and clients.
  • Other duties as assigned

Remote Door Support

  • Responsible for virtual communication and support of remote door locations that are assigned. These may reside outside of the local territory.
  • Travel to remote locations for in-person quarterly support as aligned with manager
  • Establish “remote” relationships – becoming a reliable source of information and problem-solving for the retail team.
  • Track retail sales (and services if applicable) using defined metrics to evaluate the business
  • Timely return of all phone calls, e-mails and communication from both retail partners and corporate team
  • Other duties as assigned


Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven history of sales goal achievement within the cosmetics industry
  • Experience with, and full understanding of, key retailers
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach and educate others; Ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships, even in difficult situations
  • A stylist license is preferred, but not required
  • 4+ years managing across multiple doors in a retail-centric environment – preferably with direct experience working with specialty retailers
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional communication skills (presentation/verbal/written)
  • Strong initiative and follow-through
  • Respects and works effectively with diverse people
  • Proven leader with flexibility and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Expert knowledge of company products
  • Must have proof of insurance, a current and valid driver’s license
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 2 weekend shifts per month and 2 office days per month. May include some evenings
  • Must be available for travel 60 to 70% of the time within a defined territory
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to drive a car for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 30 lbs.



This is a regular, full-time, salaried, remote position in the New York City area.


Target Salary Based on Experience

The standard range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year, plus bonus.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and competitive bonus achievement. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits.

Summary of Primary Functions :

Dobbs Equipment is seeking a Retail Account Manager (RAM). The RAM will be responsible for the sale, rental, and leasing of John Deere Compact Equipment. The RAM will be responsible for identifying new and dormant accounts to drive equipment sales and revenue in the compact construction equipment segment. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Focus on selling John Deere Compact Construction Equipment (CCE) full product line (Mini Excavators, Skid Steers, Compact Track Loaders, Compact Wheel loaders) and their attachments
  • Prospecting: Target dormant, new and walk-in accounts to sell John Deere CCE.
  • Welcome and greet potential customers at dealership. Listen to their requirements, answer all inquiries with detailed information and make compact product equipment recommendations.
  • Make adequate number of calls per day to the assigned accounts to identify sales leads and promote dealership products and services, including parts, service and sales offerings.
  • Ensure that leads and quotes are followed up quickly (within 24 hours).
  • Quote and negotiate prices, credit and financial terms and complete necessary documentation to complete the sales process.
  • Maintain an updated knowledge and understanding of manufacturer discounts and special dealer pricing programs
  • Reporting: Maintain updated and accurate records of assigned customers and report all sales activity in CRM/Dynamics, including and not limited to calls, leads, quotes, and customer management.
  • Provide demonstrations and machine walk around to customers at dealership.
  • Meet or exceed company targets for calls and sales quota.
  • Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and current technology.
  • Complete evaluation of used equipment to determine trade-in value when requested.

• Valid Drivers License

Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or a minimum of 1 years related experience is preferred, but not a requirement.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and customers with persuasive personally and negotiation skills. Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Customer Focus with strong ability to prioritize customer needs and expectations with an ability to provide and customer excellent service experience
  • Must be able to self-manage/self-motivate with persuasive personally and negotiation skills.
  • PC literate, proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel, Outlook and Dynamics required.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Quick learner with the ability to think out of the box.
  • Valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record.
