The Security and Loss Prevention Specialist, Retail (SLP Specialist, Retail) is a key hourly position within Amazon Operations. The SLP Specialist leads the effort to efficiently and effectively protect people, product and data (lives, physical property, equipment, inventory, data, & intellectual property) in a designated building. The SLP Specialist reports to the Security and Loss Prevention Manager, Retail responsible for their geographical area, and aids them in supporting the operational team, and cross functional teams throughout the organization.
Key job responsibilities
* Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and critical incidents
* Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities (e.g., loss, associate experience, process improvement, data protection, physical security infrastructure) and define appropriate mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
* Serve as department liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert for site leadership keeping them informed on key issues, strategies, and the department's performance
* Develop strategies for alarm reduction and conduct system diagnostic for problematic devices by engaging and resolving issues with internal and external partners
* Domestic regional travel up to 25% of the time when applicable.
* Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach; Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts; Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud; Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments); Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).

Your findings help to identify vulnerabilities in our processes, and you contribute to developing mitigating measures to address them. The Security and Loss Prevention Specialist, Retail (SLP Specialist, Retail) is a key hourly position within Amazon Operations. **Loss Prevention Site Supervisor-Retail (Swing shift)**
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s); acts to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that required reports are filed; notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations.
+ Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; seeks advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate; meets personally with employees and documents coaching and disciplinary actions.
+ Trains Security Officers and other company personnel; reviews post orders and other details of assignments with subordinates.
+ Assists in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company as designated.
+ In conjunction with company management or designated representatives ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions.
+ Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
+ Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
+ Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all security requirements are being met and to provide quality customer service.
