Job Description:
The L3Harris Communication Systems segment is seeking an experienced electrical engineer with RF design expertise to join a cross-functional team responsible for designing and manufacturing communications products for public safety and government customers. The electrical engineer who fills this position will join a product development team to design cutting-edge products that incorporate a wide range of wireless communications technologies into mission-critical communications infrastructure and devices. Essential Functions:

**Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for the detailed design and schematic capture of the electronic circuits and overall product design.
+ Develop the functional specifications for RF power amplifiers and integrated microwave assemblies.
+ Ensure that bare die and bond wire layout designs meet design requirements.
+ Responsible for the release of the engineering design package to the production configuration management system.
+ Set up and calibrate an RF Test bench to perform RF testing including Gain, Power, NF, and VSWR.

**Qualifications**

The **RF Design Engineer Manager** will drive cross-functional teams to develop best-in-class RF, Microwave and mmW integrated solutions (IMAs). These IMAs will include RF, Power management, Digital, developed on PWB and Mechanical housing. Responsibilities will include Proposal, Specification definition, design, testing and characterizing prototypes in the lab, presenting design results, and participating in design reviews. This role plays a critical role in managing our high-performance RF teams, drive customer presentations and technology roadmap. The RF Design Manager is also a top hands-on contributor who works autonomously under limited supervision. Exposure to defense application including responsibility for technical proposals, prototype to production, performance, customer presentations, schedule, and cost requirements is desired. Will have expert knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program.
**What You'll Do:**
+ End to End Systems analysis, model and simulate circuit or system performance using analytical tools, Cascade analysis of up/down converters.
+ Detailed analysis and design of RF (from VHF through millimeter-wave) and mixed-signal communications hardware components, including digital receiver subsystems and exciters (front ends, IF sections, phase-lock loops, AGC loops, synthesizers, A/D and D/A conversion).
+ Filter modeling, analysis and design.
+ System integration, test and development of RF/millimeter-wave communications hardware for spaceflight.
+ Investigate; evaluate new communications technologies for spaceflight applications.
+ Function as technical interface for customers and attend technical meetings as required, and specification development with customer.
+ Work closely with Business development, Supply chain, Production & other support groups.
**What You Bring:**
+ Experience: 8+ years of experience in microwave/millimeter-wave design theory component design; Experience with high reliability hardware from conceptual design through flight delivery; Experience with microwave modeling tools (I.e. Gensys, ADS, AWR, Ansoft HFSS, Ansoft Designer, Ansoft Maxwell, Matlab and AutoCAD or equivalent software. 2+ years Supervisory experience desired.
+ Knowledge: Knowledge of complex communication systems theory; Systems architecture, RF architecture, RF/Microwave circuit design; Detailed knowledge of RF and mixed-signal design techniques and technologies, including receivers, synthesizers, and transmitters; Millimeter wave Radio systems design; synthesizer design, mixers, amplifiers, PLLs, low phase noise VCOs, filters, etc., from DC > 40Ghz; Magnetic circuit analysis experience desired.
+ Communication & Collaboration: Experience working closely with Customer technical experts, defining roadmaps and differentiator aligning with business needs.
