**Shift/Schedule Requirements:** Ability to work various shifts and days including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Under limited supervision, performs and supervises crew members in the inspection, mechanical maintenance and repair of Park rides. Performs related supervisory and technical duties as required. Responsibilities:
+ Receives and stocks parts, equipment and supplies as needed.
+ Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff, subordinates, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, manufacturer representatives, etc.
+ Uses computer and clerical supplies, meters, gauges, measuring devices, mechanic's tools, measuring devices, hoists, climbing equipment, drafting tools, various other hand and power tools, etc.

+ Refers to policies and procedure manuals, maintenance manuals, technical manuals and diagrams, ride manuals, vendor catalogs, inspection manuals, regulations and guidelines, computer manuals, etc.
+ Prepares and/or maintains purchase orders, performance appraisals, schedules, inspection reports, various logs, budget reports, downtime reports, incident/accident reports, safety meeting agendas, work orders, memos, various other reports, etc.
+ Receives and reviews various records and reports including inspection records, various logs, schedules, work orders, downtime reports, rehab reports, accident/incident reports, guest complaints, invoices, price quotes. specifications, etc.
+ Attends meetings, training, etc., to stay abreast of industry trends, products, and resources.
+ Receives and responds to inquiries, concern, and complaints from employees and guests regarding ride safety and maintenance.
+ Ensures the proper maintenance and safe operating condition of all assigned equipment.
+ Coordinates maintenance projects with other Park departments, contractors, and ride manufacturers as necessary.
+ Inspects all in‑house and contracted work in progress and completed for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, specification, and standards of quality and safety.
+ Selects and oversees the work of contractors.
+ Inspects rides; troubleshoots mechanical problems on rides and assists subordinate mechanics with repair work as required.
+ Designs parts and components as necessary.
+ Determines preventive maintenance schedules; ensures prompt response to work orders.
+ Researches, orders, and maintain inventory of parts, equipment, tools, and supplies necessary for department operations.
+ Assists in preparing and managing the department's annual budget.
+ Reviews the work of subordinates for effectiveness; evaluates and makes recommendations as appropriate; offers training, advice, and assistance as needed.
+ Supervises subordinate crew members; supervisory duties include scheduling; instructing; assigning, reviewing and planning work of others; maintaining standards; coordinating activities; allocating personnel; selecting new employees; acting on employee problems, recommending and approving employee discipline, and recommending employee discharge.
+ Plans, schedules, and supervises the mechanical maintenance equipment.
+ Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
+ Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma required. Vocational/technical training preferred.
+ At least 5-7 years of prior leadership/supervisory experience.
+ At last 5 years of prior industrial mechanical knowledge.
+ Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for attraction recovery, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Universal Kids Resort attractions, show and water play areas. Responsible for troubleshooting all ride and show mechanical aspects and systems of the attractions following OEM specifications and requirements. Assists with repair of animation, special effects, and water elements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Responds to and assists in the recovery and repair of attractions, show effects, and water play areas. Troubleshoots down to failed components using schematics, leak detection equipment, vibration analysis, and other specialized tools and equipment.
+ Performs preventative and predictive maintenance as prescribed by OEM or engineering team, both internal and third-party specifications. This would include changing time-limited parts, calibrating equipment per OEM specifications, filtration systems, and cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining equipment. Responsible for the disassembly and required repairs and replacements for mechanical components during annual inspections on ride vehicles. Verifies all quality control and NDT requirements have been met prior to assembly.
+ Completes inspections and creates necessary work orders for discrepancies found. Follows correct chain of command to notify Ride & Show Management when necessary.
+ Performs repairs to equipment due to safety, reliability, or show quality issues found during preventative maintenance, daily inspections or downtimes to improve ride reliability and show quality. Performs modifications per engineering team, both internal and third party or OEM specifications.
+ Enters follow-up work orders for all discrepancies found in a timely manner. Documents all findings and work performed throughout the process of troubleshooting and performing repairs. Reports on labor in Maximo for all work performed. Demonstrates the ability to acquire skills in additional disciplines to support a broader range of operational and project needs.
+ Completes PQS qualification across UKR's attractions, shows, and water play areas. Trains new Technicians to do venue-specific PM work orders, recovery procedures, and processes. Assists with seasonal weather condition sustainment initiatives as directed.

JOB SUMMARY
Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of Ride & Show Maintenance functions and maintenance efforts. Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician who can work independently and take ownership of keeping our facility running smoothly. In this role, you'll apply your expertise in material handling equipment (MHE) and general facility maintenance to install, maintain, and repair critical equipment and infrastructure. While experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is not required, we are looking for someone who could eventually be trained in ammonia and take on that responsibility. You'll play a key role in ensuring our operations remain safe, efficient, and reliable.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Maintain, repair, and perform evaluations and preventive/predictive maintenance on **motors, electrical apparatus, wiring, and other electrical/electronic components** of machinery and equipment.
+ Maintain, repair, and perform evaluations and preventive/predictive maintenance on **refrigeration systems** (training on ammonia provided if needed).
+ Maintain, repair, and perform evaluations and preventive/predictive maintenance on **building infrastructure** .
+ Maintain, repair, and perform evaluations and preventive/predictive maintenance on **material handling equipment (MHE)** .
+ Complete work order tasks and ensure all work is logged daily in the **Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)** .
+ Report inspection results, maintenance activities, and any equipment concerns to leadership daily.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Additional Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Monitor contractors working on or near refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with **company and regulatory safety standards** .
+ Operate, inspect, calibrate, and maintain equipment using **onsite motorized lifts** as needed.
**Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)**
+ **3 years of mechanical experience** maintaining motorized lifts, warehouse, processing, or manufacturing equipment, or equivalent combination of experience and trade school.
+ For automated sites: **2 years of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical experience** .
+ Experience with industrial refrigeration (ammonia, Freon, CO2) is not required but a willingness to train is expected. Completion of **Refrigeration Operator 1 (or CARO) course** within 6 months of hire is the goal.
+ Basic electrical instrumentation experience.
+ Ability to read and interpret **Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)** may be required at some facilities.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical results to non-technical audiences.
+ Strong **problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills** .
+ Ability to work in temperatures as low as **-20°F/-25°C** in cold storage or up to **100°F/37°C** in dry storage while wearing company-provided PPE.
+ Must be able to lift **at least 40 lbs/18 kgs** ; may be higher depending on facility needs.
+ Flexible work schedule and shifts, including weekends if needed.
+ Comfortable with varying noise levels, which can be loud at times.
+ Some locations require demonstrated knowledge and practice of **Working at Height regulations** .

**Mechanical Maintenance Technician**
**Position Summary**
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in the facility by performing the following duties. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet's principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.
**Principle Responsibilities**
+ Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment and performs routine, scheduled designated preventative maintenance.
+ Discusses machine operation variations with management or production workers to diagnose equipment problems.
+ Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
+ Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
+ Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
+ Monitor the progress of maintenance activities for effective compliance with maintenance plan.
+ Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
+ Respond to inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
+ Repairs hand tool equipment.
+ Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
+ Develops and conducts interior painting on an annual schedule.
+ Conducts minor plumbing work as required.
+ Conducts minor building repairs as required.
+ Cleans, organizes and assist in all custodial work as needed.
+ Conducts inspections of facilities and recommends repairs and upgrades when needed.
+ Cleans and maintains buildings and facilities.
+ Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering.
+ Repairs and maintains physical interior structure of establishment.
+ Manages and control spare part and facility maintenance inventory.
+ Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor.
**Qualification Requirements**
**Credentials/Experience:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ 2 to 4 years of experience
+ Forklift operator's license is required;
+ Driver's License is required;
+ Journeyman's card is desirable.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Knowledge of CNC machine operation PMs.
+ Use and knowledge of inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers
+ Knowledge and use of test equipment such as multi-meters.
+ Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics.
+ Knowledge of HVAC.
+ Understanding of manufacturing equipment.
+ Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and excellent data entry skills
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
