The anticipated salary range for this role is between $131,000.00 and $180,000.00. **Role Description**
SMBC seeks a Vice President (VP) for the 'Daily Market Risk Analysis & Reporting Team' within the Enterprise Risk Stripe of Risk Management Department Americas Division (RMDAD). The VP is responsible for analyzing and monitoring Market Risk reports and providing commentary to explain changes in results. This position will report to the Team Lead of the Daily Risk Analysis and Reporting Team and will have the opportunity to learn under seasoned Market Risk professionals. The VP has a solid understanding of Market Risk fundamentals, financial products and their associated risks, and has prior experience in a risk analysis and reporting role within the banking industry. **Role Responsibilities**
+ Performs Market Risk analysis and monitoring tasks for internal stakeholders
+ Provides analysis and commentary explaining changes in Market Risk report results

**Qualifications and Skills**

We are seeking an experienced Market Risk Manager to join our growing team in Houston. This role reports directly to the Director of Risk Management in Juno Beach and will be responsible for overseeing market risk management activities across Gexa's power and gas portfolio. The successful candidate will play a critical role in establishing and managing comprehensive risk assessment, monitoring, and mitigation strategies for our expanding energy trading and retail operations.
**Overview**
This position is responsible for ensuring the Gexa Marketing functions are operating in a controlled environment and within established risk management limits. The role is responsible for reviewing daily trading position exposures, including time and location spreads, cross commodity arbitrage, options and hedging activity against approved limits. This position works with the Marketing Functions and Juno Beach Risk team to understand new and existing trading strategies for risk review and reporting and ensures correct application of pricing methodologies.
**Risk Management & Analysis:**
+ Support development and implementation of market risk management frameworks for power and gas trading activities

Market Risk Audit is a global team of subject matter experts in traded market risk and valuation within Corporate Audit. We are looking for someone with a risk-based audit skillset and traded market risk & valuation subject matter expertise to perform audit work (design & execute test programs; develop & communicate evidenced-based conclusions on the effectiveness of business process controls; validate issues; manage stakeholder relationships) with a specific focus on the Market Risk and Global Markets areas as part of the global Market Risk Audit team.
