The anticipated salary range for this role is between $95,000.00 and $150,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. **Role Description**
Using a number of modeling techniques and data structures, project the potential interest rate risk on short-term earnings and longer term equity and economic value at risk. Monitor potential loss across different types of risks. Establish thresholds, at-risk levels and exposure limits by product and business. Based on model results, suggest changes to positions and strategies.
**Role Objectives: Delivery**
Run models that project the potential interest rate risk on short-term earnings and longer term equity / economic value at risk, taking into account both a static analysis of interest rate margins and a dynamic view of changing market conditions including elements such as yield, convexity, duration and FX. Produce fair value equivalents for asset prices and funding costs using existing pricing data from businesses, counterparties, markets, replacement costs and transfer pricing data. Stress test results. Prepare a gap analysis. Stress test results. Produce a funding analysis that takes into account total cost including deposits, incorporating relevant ops costs. Report on potential loss across different types of risks (interest, convexity, duration, FX, counterparty, etc.). Test thresholds, at-risk levels, and exposure limits by product and business.
**Role Objectives: Interpersonal**
Develop relationships with units such as IT to improve data gathering and model construction. Support the unit's work with industry specialists, country risk managers, credit review / analysis staff, treasury staff and relationship managers to determine and evaluate if potential risks are properly reflected in the models. Begin to network within the industry through meetings, events and involvement with trade organizations to better understand emerging risk trends and how they are reflected in models.
**Role Objectives: Expertise**
Demonstrate a solid knowledge in financial analysis, especially elements of interest rate analysis such as yield, convexity, duration, and FX. Demonstrate general understanding of financial markets and economics to help ensure models take into account current and changing conditions and to create a valid set of variables and scenarios. Have solid risk modeling skills to take into account various types of risk, correlation between risks and idiosyncratic risk. Have a working knowledge of information technology, data management and statistical analysis to create meaningful modeling and analysis. Communicate analytical data effectively.
**Qualifications and Skills**
+ Education: Required - BA / BS
+ Work Experience: 3+ years of experience in market risk / derivative risk or closely risk-related role.
+ Language Skills: Business fluency in English (Japanese is preferred)
+ Software Systems / Programming Languages: Working knowledge of VBA, and Microsoft Office Suite

The Associate, Business Control & Risk Management operates within the First Line of Defense and is accountable to assist the CIB Business
Control Unit in driving effective and consistent business line execution against the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

**Job Function Description**
Monitors activities to minimize the Corporate & Investment Bank's (CIB) exposure to risk. Activities may include quantitative analysis, risk identification and remediation. + Facilitate scenario analysis exercises in coordination with business units and CIN Business Control Officers (BCO), documenting key assumptions, impacts, and mitigation strategies.

As a Risk Management - Risk Reporting Associate within JPMorgan Chase's Risk Management and Compliance team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our strength and resilience.   • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with data analysis tools.

As a Risk Management - Risk Reporting Associate within the Risk Reporting & Middle Office (RRMO) team, you will play a crucial role in producing periodic Market Risk reports and metrics, including regulatory reporting. You will identify opportunities to automate manual processes, proactively address control gaps, and develop new reports to meet internal or external requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to key business decisions and change efforts, while effectively communicating with executive management and peers. Examples of the group's work include the preparation of periodic overviews of Firmwide VaR and Economic Stress Tests results for the Firm's Board of Directors. In this role you will produce daily, weekly & monthly risk/ financial overview reports, report the Firm's external disclosures includes quarterly Press Release, and Form 10-Q/10-K filings. The group also has project management responsibilities for major projects within and outside the group.

Job Responsibilities

  • Production of periodic Market Risk reports and metrics, including regulatory reporting
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to automate manual processes.
  • Proactively identifying control gaps and improve controls as well resolve issues.
  • Develop new reports or metrics to meet internal or external requirements.
  • Support the control processes through periodic review of the reports and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Partner with cross functional teams and lines of business, mainly Market Risk Coverage, Product Controllers, Technology, Compliance and Audit to collaborate on report production, migration testing, and projects.
  • Contribute to the implementation of key business decisions and change efforts.
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of executive management and peers.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
  • 3 plus years of experience in reporting, financial analytics, or similar roles
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience analyzing large datasets with relevant business context.
  • Proficient in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups)
  • Keen attention to details and self-review work
  • Ability to multitask, think independently, and make continuous progress towards meeting business objectives.
  • Experience with reporting tools like Tableau, COGNOS, and Alteryx

  • Basic knowledge of businesses/products offered by major financial institutions and risk disciplines.
  • Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Self-starter who can work effectively in a multi-tasking role.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in Operational or Risk Management, Compliance, Internal/External Audit or other control function desired.
