The Opportunity
- 12.5-month program at Riverside University Health System - Medical Center designed to train AP's in Emergency Medicine utilizing didactic and clinical experience.
- 2100 Clinical hours in acute EM care as well as weekly lecture time.
- Core Emergency Department time will be 10 months (40 weeks).
- Off service rotations include Internal Medicine, ICU, Bedside POCUS Ultrasound Course, and specialty rotation tracks.
- Fellows will attend the Advanced Trauma and Life Support Course (ATLS) at RUHS.
- In addition to core EM content, focused training will include clinical efficiency, documentation, billing, scribe utilization, and patient throughput.
- This is a paid fellowship with benefits and malpractice insurance included.
Required Experience and Competencies
- Physician Assistant applicants must be eligible and/or possess NCCPA certification or a graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program.
- Nurse Practitioner applicants must be eligible and/or possess AANC or AANP certification, or a graduate of a CCNE or ACEN accredited program.
- Must be licensed to practice in the State of California.
- Eligible for and/or possess current DEA licensure (must be fully licensed by the start of the program).
- Current certification in ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
- Previous EMS/ED work experience is highly desirable but not required.
