The **Health and Safety Compliance Specialist** is responsible for developing, maintaining, and revising safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations. This position leads compliance initiatives through cross-training and provides ongoing training and communication to Health and Safety Department teams. The role supports alignment of safety initiatives with organizational goals, investigates incidents to identify contributing factors and corrective actions, and facilitates continuous improvement. **Job Duties**
+ Develop safety programs and policies, ensuring adherence to applicable industry standards and regulations
+ Maintain/revise existing safety programs and policies in compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations
+ Lead compliance initiatives through cross-training for Health and Safety Department teams
+ Provide safety program and policy training to the Health and Safety Department teams and communicate updates for implementation across the organization
+ Provide support to ensure safety program and policy initiatives align with organizational objectives
+ Investigate incidents, including identification of contributing factors and corrective actions
+ Provide support to Operations and Health and Safety Department teams in conducting post-incident analysis to facilitate learning and continuous improvement
+ Monitor, facilitate, and actively participate in the process of determining and completing improvement actions
+ Engage with Operations and Health and Safety Department teams to collaborate for the development of proactive and post-incident improvements
+ Report Serious Incident or Fatality (SIF) events to OSHA and communicate with OSHA representatives regarding SIF events
+ Respond to Serious Incident or Fatality (SIF) events to assist Operations and Health and Safety Department teams in investigation and response
+ Engage with OSHA representative and/or provide guidance to Operations and Health and Safety Department teams during investigations, site visits, and interviews

**Qualifications**

**AECOM** is seeking **Safety, Health & Environment Specialist** to support various project sites located within the NYC Metropolitan area. The Safety, Health & Environment Specialist will support Construction Management teams working on projects at wastewater recovery facilities.
Under the supervision of the project Safety, Health and Environment Manager the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Assist in implementing the requirements of AECOM's Construction Manager's (CM) EHS Management Plan (EHSMP) and Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHASP)
+ Support the CM in preparation of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) in accordance with Client standards.
+ Support the CM in conducting various training for CM staff including new employee orientations, visitor orientations and Emergency Action Plan training.
+ Assist in the technical review of all EHS related submittals by the Contractors, including, but not limited to, EHASPs, JHAs, monthly reports, asbestos/lead/mercury/PCB management and sampling plans, waste management plans, soil re-use, hazardous waste contingency plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and Stormwater Pollution Prevent Plans (SWPPP) to verify comprehensive oversight of all site activities.
+ Facilitate weekly EHS meetings with the Contractor's EHS Representative (EHSR), and other project management personnel as appropriate, to ascertain and discuss upcoming construction related activity EHS activities.
+ Conduct frequent construction site visits.
+ Track and monitor the Contractor's compliance with EHASP(s) and JHA(s)
+ Track and monitor all site EHSRs' performance including, but not limited to, reviewing the EHSR's daily reports and whether EHS issues are being adequately addressed.
+ Perform and submit daily reports of the Contractors' Work areas and document non-compliance with the Contractor's EHASPs and JHAs.
+ Review Contractor's incident reports for adequacy, participate in meetings related to construction related incidents, and verify all necessary Contractor corrective actions are implemented.
+ Submit EHS monthly status reports and metrics. Prepare monthly trending analysis of Contractor EHS performance.
+ Oversee Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and drills for the site in coordination with Client staff.
+ Review and manage all EHS Annual Reports (i.e., EPCRA, Hazardous Waste, Confined Space)
**Qualifications**

+ Be assigned to the site on a full-time basis for the duration of field activities. The SSHO will have no duties other than Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) related duties.
+ Provide day-to-day onsite implementation and enforcement of the accepted APP/SSHP.
+ Have authority to stop work if unacceptable health or safety conditions exist and take necessary action to re-establish and maintain safe working conditions.
+ Ensure site compliance with specified SOH requirements, Federal, state and OSHA regulations and all aspects of the APP/SSHP including, but not limited to, activity hazard analyses, sound monitoring, use of PPE, site controls, standard operating procedures used to minimize hazards, safe use of engineering controls, the emergency response plan, confined space entry procedures (as required), spill containment program, and preparation of records by performing a daily safety inspection and documenting results on the Daily Safety Inspection Log.
+ Have an expert knowledge of EM-385-1-1 and 29 CFR 1926.16.
+ Receive oversee and develop Activity Hazard Analysis forms for all definable features of work.
+ Conduct daily safety inspections and document findings into the Daily Safety Inspection Log. Track noted safety deficiencies to ensure that they are corrected.
+ Oversee daily safety briefs and prior to starting work, to include toolbox talks and briefing of daily applicable AHAs.
+ Oversee weekly review of upcoming AHAs with client to ensure alignment prior to start of work activity.
+ Confirm adherence to all Infection Control and Interim Life Safety protocols, including inspections on barriers, HEPA equipment, dust/dirt mitigation into the Medical Clinic and directional signage.
+ Provide ongoing evaluation of hazardous conditions. In coordination with site management, provide recommendations for changes to procedural or administrative controls and/or personal protective equipment to eliminate those hazards. Consult with the Site Superintendent, and the Contracting Officer to coordinate for any modifications to the accepted APP/SSHP and evaluate as the solution is implemented.
+ Schedule, coordinate and deliver weekly safety training/briefings to the workforce or procure weekly safety documentation from trade companies. Maintain training documentation and attendance records.
+ Investigate property damage and personal injury accidents to determine cause and methods to prevent recurrence.
+ Conduct accident investigations and prepare incident and accident reports for review by Management and as required by OSHA and other regulatory agencies.

The **Field Safety Manager** promotes the Company's IIF culture by ensuring every co-worker returns home safety every night. Is expected to spend a minimum of 90% of time in the field observing and coaching co-workers and Field Safety Representatives on correction of unsafe conditions and behaviors. Reinforces positive behavior through recognition and/or rewards. Serves as a resource to co-workers by answering questions about safety and sharing lessons learned. Uses leading indicators to influence the future direction of safety on the project. Embeds self with the project team and strategically "dives in" using a hands-on approach to improve project safety, quality, and productivity (SQP).

Insight Global is looking for a Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) to join one of the federal contracting clients in Washington, DC supporting a DoD program. The SSHO will be vital part in ensuring all safety protocols are followed on the construction site. Additional responsibilities include develop and implement safety policies, conduct inspections, training, incident investigation, documentation, compliance, emergency planning, and equipment safety. This is a fully onsite position - 5 days a week.
Day to day:
-Create and enforce health and safety policies in accordance with regulations
-Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
-Lead safety training sessions for employees and managers to educate them on safety procedures and risks
-Investigate accidents and unsafe conditions
-Develop strategies to prevent future occurrences
-Maintain detailed records of inspections, incidents, and safety measures
-Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations
-Develop and update emergency procedures and conduct drills
