As a Safety Professional, you will ensure the safety of employees, trade partners, and the general public on our world class projects. The Safety Professional is responsible for creating a culture of care while enforcing Clark's Safety and Health Policy, as well as, local and federal safety standards on jobsites. Title: Electrical Safety Professional

Location: Remote - report from home near major regional airports (RDU, ORF, RIC, CLT, BWI, PHL, etc.). This opportunity allows you to work from home or if you prefer you can live near the Raleigh location in order to get more interaction and training. Extensive OJT and shadowing is provided to all techs.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour + OT

Benefits: Full Comprehensive Benefits Package + Mileage Reimbursement /Gas + Tools + Per Diem.

Travel: 75% travel - Usually traveling 3 days per week. Some projects can last up to 2 weeks. Primarily flying to different customer sites.

Position Description : Seeking a highly motivated electrical safety professional, preferably one who is interested in transferring their field experience in commercial/industrial electrical installation/troubleshooting to be a part of a rapidly growing EHS safety consulting and training firm. This position is less labor intensive than encountered in retrofitting or new construction installation, with emphasis on the field assessment of existing electrical devices, including motor control centers, switchboards, panelboards, and meter socket enclosures. General electrical safety, arc flash, lockout/tag out program assessment/ development, NFPA 70E compliance, and training are fundamental services covered under comprehensive Industrial Safety Compliance and Training Division. Target clients include a wide variety of manufacturing operations, healthcare facilities, data management facilities, and commercial buildings.Our electrical safety professionals are focused on the prevention of occupational injuries due to shock, electrocution, arc flash, and arc blast by promoting compliance with OSHA 1910 Subpart S and NFPA 70E. The primary responsibilities of this position will be the field collection of electrical equipment data from the electrical infrastructure found in the field along with the creation of hand-drawn as-built electrical one-line drawings.

Requirements:

2-5 years of electrical troubleshooting experience.
An understanding of the electrical conductors, fuses, and circuit breakers is required.
Successful applicants should have proficiency in reading and creating as-built electrical one-line drawings, familiarity with electrical symbols to be used for drawings, and knowledge of PPE requirements for arc flash and shock protection.

Personal Safety Professional
Job Summary:
Marathon Petroleum Company Martinez Renewable Facility has an opening for a Personal Safety Professional located in Martinez, CA. This position will be the primary safety resource for an operations area team. The Safety Professional is responsible for a wide range of safety activities including program development and interpretation, conducting safety training, auditing, and corrective actions. This position is in the Environmental, Safety & Security (ESS) organization and reports to the Safety Supervisor. The available schedules for the position are 9/80, 5/40 or 4/1, on-call rotation required one full week to include the weekend a month and support of TAR twice a year. (TAR bonus is available to people who support TAR by working additional hours.)
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide support as the point of contact person for an operations area team on all safety issues.
+ Provide support as the point of contact person for maintenance area team on all safety issues.
+ Support the refinery emergency response efforts as part of the Incident Command structure.
+ Support the refinery as a technical resource for safety issues including interpretation of standards and regulations.
+ Serve as the site SME for various refinery safety policies.
+ Provide Safety support for Injury Case Management.
+ Coordinate the site's Area Team Auditing Program.
+ Rotational on-call duty including weekends and holidays required.
+ Develop, coordinate, and present various safety training courses to refinery personnel.
+ Continuously assess safety risks within the area, develop and execute mitigation plans to address risks.
+ Conduct field audits, assessments, and surveys.
+ Engage with contractors to communicate safety expectations and help them meet Company objectives.
+ Review work permits, correct deficiencies, identify improvement opportunities and help drive improvement.
+ Provide safety related input in the development and review of operating procedures.
+ Serve as an advocate for first line employees to help them safely complete work.
+ Ensure OSHA regulatory compliance.
+ Interact with refinery personnel to ensure safety procedures and regulations are followed
Education, Experience and Skills
Minimum Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required with 5 years of relevant safety professional experience OR Bachelor's degree in related field with 2 years of relevant safety professional experience. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date) (Degree must be accredited in US.)
+ Must be able interpret OSHA standards, apply OSHA standards and provide OSHA guidance to the site.
+ Must be proficient in Microsoft: Word, Excel and Outlook.
+ Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery (respirator), be able to physically perform all tasks in the field and take hair drug test and physical.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship.
+ Travel Requirement is 5% or less.

Preferred Qualifications
+ A valid driver's license is preferred. (MPC determines valid status.)
+ Experience with PowerBI or similiar reporting/analytics system is preferred.
+ Bachelor's degree (or above) in an Occupational Safety-, Safety Management- or Industrial Hygiene-related discipline is preferred.
+ More than 6 years of experience in a Safety professional position in the refining or petrochemical industry is preferred.
+ ASP or GSP and/or on track for CSP certification is preferred.
+ Ability to obtain a TWIC Card is preferred.
