The Director, Aesthetics Business Development will be responsible for leading and supporting business development transactions. The responsibility will include generating target landscapes, identifying targets, as well as conducting target evaluation, due diligence, contract negotiation, and early integration planning of all licensing, partnership, and acquisition deals. The candidate will work closely with the VP of Business Development, Solta and Ortho Dermatologics Senior Management, and R&D to identify external opportunities to build a robust product portfolio that will fuel Bausch Healths future growth in the aesthetics space. The ideal candidate should have aesthetic and medical device business development/ licensing and acquisition experience (preference given for an understanding of the medical aesthetic market landscape), a technical background, proven business acumen, and a demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams and external partners over a wide range of geographies and product lifecycle stages.
The candidate will be the face of BHCs Aesthetic Business Development organization to our external partners and should strive to make BHC a partner of choice. The candidate should demonstrate a clear ability to balance the needs of our external partners with the bandwidth of our internal teams to create a win-win and maximize the value of new opportunities.
Responsibilities
+ Identify and evaluate new business development opportunities by working closely with the VP of Business Development as well as Ortho Dermatologic and Solta senior management.
+ Formulate an Aesthetic Licensing and Acquisition roadmap for Ortho Dermatologics and Solta Medical. Maintain a dynamic target landscape.
+ Collaborate with Global Strategic Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Legal, and Commercial teams to assess the feasibility and alignment of external opportunities with underlying business strategy and financial criteria.
+ Evaluate new opportunities, lead financial modeling, and manage due diligence with strong collaboration across internal teams.
+ Prepare and present business cases for internal discussion and approval.
+ Negotiate and execute licensing and acquisition deals, including strategic partnerships, and oversee implementation towards launch/ integration.
+ Build and cultivate strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders with a focus on trust, transparency, and communication.
+ Develop and grow a productive network of external contacts and maintain excellent working relationships with industry counterparts.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead every stage of a business development transaction, from identifying targets to closing deals, and should have a successful track record of leading strategically, building alignment, working independently, and collaborating with colleagues at all levels of the organization. This candidate will also have demonstrated initiative, creativity, and ability to work in a complex, rapidly changing and ambiguous environment.
+ MBA or graduate degree in life sciences is preferred.
+ 10+ years of experience in Business Development and/or Strategy
+ Medical Device experience is required; medical aesthetic experience is highly preferred.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in developing detailed financial models that assess commercial opportunity, developing deal structures that reflect the risk/reward profile of the opportunity, and interpreting and presenting risk simulation outputs.
+ Highly experienced in preparing commercial assessments, validating commercial assumptions, developing quantitative and qualitative support documentation, and presenting findings to senior leadership.
+ Track record of negotiating deal terms with third parties that are reflective of the risk profile of the opportunity and that align with strategic and financial objectives of the company.
+ Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment regarding the management of information, including a superior level of appreciation for the sensitivity of key information and maintaining confidentiality.
+ Excellent interpersonal, advocacy, delegation and communications skills.

The range of starting base pay for this role is 186K-257K. Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for participation in either (i) our annual bonus program or (ii) a sales incentive plan.

Job Summary:

As a Leaf Home territory sales representative, you will work to provide potential customers with your expertise and education about the benefits of LeafFilter gutter protection and gutter replacement. By doing a quick home inspection from the street we will teach you how to identify potential homeowner challenges that Leaf Home has the solution for.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales leads for our outside sales team by covering an assigned territory each day, going door to door and engaging prospective customers at their home about Leaf Home products (local travel required).
  • Utilize a consultative selling approach to educate consumers on the benefits of Leaf Home and gather information for the sales team to reach out and schedule an in-person product demonstration.
  • Report daily results to the field management team and develop a collaborative working relationship with other sales representatives.
  • Ensure a high quality and accurate representation of Leaf Home products by representing the company professionally and ensuring that potential customers have an exceptional experience.

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's license, a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately.
