Supports Sales Planning team by gathering, analyzing, and reporting sales related data. Leads sales input process for innovation projects for the Food BU. Works with Sales Planning team members to assist in development of 18-month Category Plans.

In this role, you will:

Drive the Business: Contributes to Business Plan for Food BU. Works with cross-functional partners and customer/field teams to bring Customer perspective. Create and update complex reports for sales planning team and Food BU project teams. Customer and Category Planning: Provides input into integrated customer plan and contributes to business plan release for assigned Hidden Valley. Responsible to advocate for assigned customers. Independently gather and interpret data and identify business drivers and opportunities. Lead sales input process for core business activities including innovation and forecasting.

Build Capability to Drive Growth and Eliminate Waste: Uses appropriate tools, processes, resources to support organization. Communicate findings with wide variety of stakeholders including field sales/customer teams, sales planning teams, retailer contacts and Clorox leadership.

What we look for:

  • 2-4 years of Sales Planning, Field or Customer experience, CPG experience would be a plus
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
  • Power BI or experience with visualization tools
  • Proficient on Sales analytical tools (Circana)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Sales Planner is to implement and maintain a current detailed sales plan for the account(s) assigned using the Sales planning tool for regional chain accounts. They are expected to be able to work autonomously with Account Executive and Account.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in the preparation of documents for monthly consensus meetings. Reviews sheets and meets with internal core team members prior to meeting. Together with account executive, assist in the presentation for monthly meetings along with brand management, merchandising, and operations, providing analysis and explanations of all recommended changes to the sales plan.
  • Helps incorporate agreed upon changes to the plan from consensus meeting and publishes a summary of these changes.
  • Works closely with Account Executives and retailer's buyers and planners to develop a sales, receipt and inventory plan for the incoming season in a timely manner, consistent with established planning calendar deadlines.
  • Maintains Sales/Receipt/Inventory plans throughout the season and aligns with retailer's productivity metrics. Adjust sales based on historical results and current POS trends.
  • Reviews plans weekly/monthly with retail buyers and planners, account executives, replenishment managers, and forecasting and planning.
  • Communicates proactively and divergency between the sales plan, the account inventory plan, the receipt plan with the appropriate functional area.
  • Standard and ad hoc reporting; administrative duties
Experience
  • Related Work Experience which may include Sales Planning, Forecasting, Demand Planning, or POS (Point of Sale) Analyst
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Math, Computer Science, Statistics, or Finance preferred

A Taste of What You'll Be Doing
+ Maximize Business Plans - Partnering with Account Executives you will fully leverage Sales Planning initiatives. This position is responsible for determining and entering base sales business and working with account managers to review promotional activity within the Trade Promotional Management (TPM) system.
+ Analyzing Data - Evaluate promotions and spend, as well as Profit & Loss key metrics for sales volume and contribution margin. This will also involve analyzing data.
+ Providing Insights - Serve as the go-to expert for Trade Promotion Management, ensuring the accuracy of core planning data. Keeping the team aligned through monthly updates is essential.
+ Annual Planning - Working closing with the sales team you will develop base and review promotional plans keeping in mind optimal mix and considering Gross Sales Volume (GSV), Net Sales Volume (NSV), and Cost of Production (COP).

+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
+ Proven efficiency working in Microsoft Excel (i.e. Pivot, V-Lookup experience preferred)
+ Demonstrated strong analytical work experience (preference for someone familiar with Nielsen, Business Warehouse Reporting, SAP)
+ Proven ability to communicate complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally building relationships

Compensation Insights:
The annual salary range is $82,700-$108,570 which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available

**Summary**
The Director, Sales Planning & Strategy leads WIFI's Sales Planning function to deliver exceptional Order Fill Rates and Forecast Accuracy, directly driving enterprise-wide Customer Service Index (CSI) performance. As a strategic change agent, this role collaborates across Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, Whole Bird Analytics, and Category Management to elevate planning excellence through the S&OP process.
