Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Direct Sales Analytics team is responsible for data (AWS and SQL server), reporting (Tableau), analytics (Dataiku, Tableau and Python), managing the data infrastructure for the sales agent variable compensation plan, call routing strategies to drive performance, and many other crucial tasks. The analyst/developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reporting to drive performance of the business units mentioned above. This duty includes producing ad hoc reporting for senior leadership and recurring reporting that has an audience of many levels within DISH. As time allows, the analyst will explore new datasets to ferret out actionable business insights, always keeping a lookout for opportunities to utilize advanced analytics tools to derive more insight from the data. The sales department is critical to driving demand and creating strategic partnerships across the industry.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
The Direct Sales Analytics team is responsible for data (AWS and SQL server), reporting (Tableau), analytics (Dataiku, Tableau and Python), managing the data infrastructure for the sales agent variable compensation plan, call routing strategies to drive performance, and many other crucial tasks. The analyst/developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reporting to drive performance of the business units mentioned above. This duty includes producing ad hoc reporting for senior leadership and recurring reporting that has an audience of many levels within DISH. As time allows, the analyst will explore new datasets to ferret out actionable business insights, always keeping a lookout for opportunities to utilize advanced analytics tools to derive more insight from the data. The analyst will become an advocate for data-driven decision making and will be responsible for maintaining data integrity from the initial raw data to the publication of insight and recommendations for senior leadership.
The ideal individual for this role has the energy and intelligence to think critically, learn quickly, and be able to combine data analytics with business acumen.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Locate and integrate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and building comprehensive reporting dashboards for all levels of management within sales and retention teams
+ Design and implement reporting alerts to proactively monitor for unforeseen spikes, dips, or trend changes in key business metrics
+ Analyze and interpret trends in sales and retention metrics to provide actionable recommendations for business process improvements and strategy adjustments
+ Define business problems, collect relevant data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and present clear and concise communication to diverse internal departments
+ Collaborate closely with multiple business units to provide deep technical understanding of the data driving performance, acting as a data subject matter expert
+ Manage and maintain the data infrastructure for the sales agent variable compensation plan, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of incentive payments
+ Analyze call center data to recommend and implement call routing strategies that optimize agent efficiency and customer experience
+ Perform special projects, research, analysis, and presentations at the request of senior DISH leadership
+ Manage the DISH-wide Tableau Server site, including user permissions, performance optimization, and content management
**Skills, Experience and Requirements**
**Education and Experience:**
+ BA/BS in a business or STEM field (information systems, math, finance, accounting) or comparable experience
+ 2+ Years experience in an analyst role using SQL, Tableau Cloud, AWS cloud and other cloud-based data platforms
**Skills and Qualifications:**
+ Tableau and SQL skills required; Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift and Python experience a plus
+ Experience with machine learning problems (AI / Predictive Analytics) preferred; AI platforms (ex Dataiku, Google AI Studio) a plus
+ Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; familiar with relational database concepts
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively identify opportunities for improvement
