As a volunteer Salesforce Platform Developer, you will support our nonprofit/organization in building, customizing, and enhancing Salesforce applications. You will work closely with the internal team to streamline processes, automate workflows, and deliver impactful digital solutions that empower Keelwork’s mission. Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with admin, business analysts, and other developers to deliver project goals.
• Configure Salesforce objects, fields, validation rules, and workflows.
• Participate in the integration of third-party systems using connected apps and APIs.
• Document code, processes, and changes for transparency and future reference.
• Design and develop custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Implement and maintain triggers, batch classes, and scheduled jobs to automate business processes.
• Support user stories, data modeling, and testing for new or existing applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
• Salesforce admin certificate a plus
• Hands-on experience with Apex, SOQL, LWC, Visualforce, and Process Builder/Flow.
• Good understanding of Salesforce security model, governor limits, and deployment tools.
• Previous experience with Salesforce NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack) or Service Cloud is a plus.

• Strategic Ownership & Governance - Ability to define and drive the global Salesforce roadmap, platform investment priorities, and governance model.
• User Enablement & Adoption - Experience leading training frameworks, Salesforce Champion networks, and business readiness for new capabilities.
• Solution Design Leadership - Demonstrated track record in providing multi-path recommendations, guiding business stakeholders toward scalable, best-practice approaches (versus primarily executing chosen designs).

• Platform Architecture, Development & Operations
• Architect and design multi-cloud Salesforce solutions (E-Commerce, Marketing Cloud, Interaction Studio, Salesforce CDP, and Service Cloud) to deliver unified Customer 360 experiences.
• Ensure technical strategies align with enterprise architecture, including system integrations, data models, and security standards.
• Guide technical design decisions with the authority to challenge architecture and validate risk; delegate implementation to architects and developers.
• Lead the development of integrations with AWS, Snowflake, Twilio, and other enterprise platforms.
• Drive data model design, ingestion, identity resolution, segmentation, and activation within Salesforce CDP.
• Configure Interaction Studio for real-time personalization (sitemaps, campaigns, content zones, and data ingestion).
• Direct end-to-end implementations across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Field Service Lightning.
• Oversee ETL migrations of historical data into enhanced Salesforce data models.
• Support automation of repeatable workflows to improve productivity and user adoption.

• 10+ years of progressive Salesforce experience, including platform leadership, multi-cloud implementations, and enterprise integrations.
• Proven success delivering 20+ Salesforce projects with measurable adoption outcomes and long-term client engagement.
• Hands-on expertise in Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, Aura, LWC, JavaScript), automation, and document generation/e-signature integrations.
• Strong understanding of platform governance, security models, and global compliance practices.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional transformation through Salesforce technologies.
• Experience with Digital Engagement, AppExchange solutions, middleware integration, and DevOps tools (Gearset, Copado, Azure DevOps).

Who We're Looking For

• At least 4+ years' experience administering and configuring SFDC environment with deep knowledge of the declarative (point and click) capabilities or comparable experience as a Super User or Product Owner of similar Salesforce functionality

• Experience designing and implementing new modules and business processes using the platform

• Knowledge of established standards, best practices and platform features

• Salesforce Administrator Certification

• Salesforce Platform Builder Certification preferred

• Perform Salesforce administrator functions such as user management, profiles, roles, permissions, validation rules, assignment rules, queues, licenses, etc.

• Prepare data files and upload the data to using data loader and other 3rd party tools.

• Create reports in SFDC to meet operational requirements including maintaining a standard set of queries/reports to satisfy requirements; validate queries/reports created by others in the organization and assist in the interpretation of data

• Execute Change Management process, including maintaining updated documentation and data dictionary

• Complete regular system audits and preparations for upgrades

• Stay current with new features and functionality to provide technical guidance and feasibility for system enhancements

Who We're Looking For

• At least 4+ years' experience administering and configuring SFDC environment with deep knowledge of the declarative (point and click) capabilities or comparable experience as a Super User or Product Owner of similar Salesforce functionality

• Experience designing and implementing new modules and business processes using the platform

• Knowledge of established standards, best practices and platform features

• Salesforce Administrator Certification

• Salesforce Platform Builder Certification preferred

• Expertise building workflows using standard workflow functionality and advanced process automation techniques utilizing Process Builder and Flow

• Expertise with complex formula fields and validation rules

• Experience supporting complex orgs with significant customization

• Demonstrated mastery of Salesforce Data Loader and mass upload processes

• Experience reviewing, configuring and supporting AppExchange apps

• Experience working in Lightning

• Demonstrated expertise leveraging Salesforce debugging functionality and other Dev Console tools

• Experience with Salesforce Experience Sites (formerly called Communities) preferred

The Salesforce Platform Manager is responsible for understanding all aspects of Invitation Home's use of the Salesforce platform for assigned business unit(s), including developing expertise in business workflow supported on the platform, monitoring data quality and system performance, and collaborating with the business and product teams to plan, prioritize and implement system enhancements and net new features and functionality.

The Salesforce Platform Manager is expected to have detailed knowledge of the Salesforce platform to participate in hands-on-keyboard declarative development and design/optimization of new and existing features.  This person should have a solid understanding of the Salesforce data model to architect solutions on the Platform, including writing user stories for execution by the Salesforce Dev team.  This person is responsible for the overall health and well being of the assigned Salesforce module(s), including proactively identifying areas of opportunity to improve data integrity, usability, and system performance.

Position may have direct oversight and/or matrixed responsibility for Salesforce Admins and/or Business Analysts assigned to projects.

What You'll Do

• Develop deep expertise in assigned Salesforce modules, including learning existing architecture, integrations, and automation to be able to support, maintain and enhance the system

• Become an expert in our business processes to develop and improve Salesforce-powered solutions

• Generate release notes and contribute to Learning and Development training deliverables
