**Job Summary:**
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our printed materials meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency. You will be responsible for inspecting products at various stages of the printing process, identifying defects, and working with production teams to implement corrective actions. This is a temp-to-hire position with excellent opportunities for growth and advancement within our company.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Conduct visual inspections of printed materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, labels, and packaging.
+ Compare printed materials to approved proofs and specifications.
+ Identify and document defects such as color variations, misprints, smudges, scratches, and alignment issues.
+ Use measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensions, registration, and other critical parameters.
+ Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results.
+ Communicate quality issues to production staff and supervisors effectively.
+ Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
+ Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
+ Ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer specifications.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.

**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Ability to read and interpret specifications and technical documents.
+ Experience with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) is _highly preferred._
+ Good understanding of printing processes is a plus.
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to (Insert Weight) pounds.

Position Overview



We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control inspector for a Joplin-based machine shop. The Quality Control role ensures that all manufactured products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with ISO and AS9000 standards. This position offers weekly pay, benefits, and the opportunity to join a client that provides excellent pay, benefits, and an ESOP program once hired permanent.



Responsibilities




  • Conduct thorough quality inspections during the manufacturing process to verify compliance with ISO and AS9000 standards

  • Perform quality audits and document findings for continuous improvement

  • Use precision measuring instruments such as CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems

  • Implement and monitor HACCP protocols to ensure food safety where applicable

  • Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports on quality performance metrics

  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and corrective actions

  • Support the maintenance of quality systems to improve reliability and customer satisfaction



Requirements & Skills




  • Prior experience with QA/QC processes and quality audits in a manufacturing environment
