Technical Responsibilities
Gather Division business requirements and assures compliance to regulatory requirements
Engage with Supplier Partners, ensuring capacity to meet demand and works with Category Management to close gaps
Drive and track compliance for indirect materials, as well as link with Global team for policies and procedures
Use 'scouting approach' to influence R&D and Commercial partners earlier in NPI process, monitor product pipeline (LCM), support product platforming
Serve as point of contact for critical Procurement issues within the Division, work with Category Management to resolve problems
Consolidate, analyze and report on divisional procurement metrics for business reviews
Leadership Responsibilities
Provides division input to category strategies (Global, Group specific) and support implementation of aligned strategies
Engage with supplier leadership (Vice President, General Managers, President, Functional and Operations Leaders) to solve business problems and assure alignment with Thermo Fisher objectives

Job Description:
As the continuous improvement technician (hourly), you will rely on your previous manufacturing
experience to drive continuous improvement around the facility, reduce waste in the process,
create and design robust processes, and improve efficiency in the value stream. You will show
improvement through process measurements and documentation, tangible and factual
measurements (time reduction, dollar reduction, downtime reduction, reduction in errors,
reduction in defects, etc). Upon creating a new process, standardized work instructions will be
developed and trained, in order to maintain a sustainable process, all through a focus on the 5S
methodology.
Functional Overview:
You will join the Fall River Commercial Laundry manufacturing engineering team. In each
area, we produce large commercial laundry dryers or washers. You will lead continuous
improvement projects, work in cross-functional teams with materials, engineers, suppliers,
quality, fabrication, programmers, supervisors, and leadership. You will be expected to self
lead your projects, use the Whirlpool tools, document data, and show clear improvements.
You will be required to support production to meet production demands as needed. You will
be required to support lean shop to execute projects as needed.
Additionally,
Responsible for delivering safety, quality, delivery and cost metrics for the assigned area.
Perform safety/CAL investigations and report on findings and countermeasures.
Execute standard work development and audits.

**Description**
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control candidate to oversee and drive quality assurance initiatives across products, services, and operational processes. The Quality Control candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance with internal benchmarks, customer expectations, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory and industry standards. This role is critical in maintaining a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
**Primary Responsibilities** :
+ Develop and implement quality assurance policies, standards, and procedures to support consistent quality across all products and services.
+ Perform audits and inspections to evaluate compliance with established standards, including ISO, CMMI, and other applicable frameworks.
+ Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
+ Monitor processes, outputs, and systems to identify areas for improvement and collaborate with teams to develop and implement effective solutions.
+ Maintain quality assurance documentation, including protocols, process flows, and training materials.
+ Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives and drive best practices in quality management.

**Basic Qualifications**
+ TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
+ 4-8 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or product testing; or 2-6 years of experience with a Master's degree.
+ Proven experience developing, implementing, and maintaining QA/QC systems for technical products or systems.
+ Strong understanding of inspection, testing, and evaluation methods used to assess product quality and reliability.
+ Experience conducting integration, system, and performance testing.
+ Familiarity with test planning, test execution, and troubleshooting across product lifecycles.
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze failure trends and post-delivery feedback to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
+ Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal technical teams and clients.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Advanced knowledge of quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, CMMI).

**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Experience in quality control, preferably in a printing or manufacturing environment, _is a plus!_
+ Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Strong visual inspection skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret specifications and technical documents.
+ Experience with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) is _highly preferred._
+ Good understanding of printing processes is a plus.
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to (Insert Weight) pounds.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control inspector for a Joplin-based machine shop. The Quality Control role ensures that all manufactured products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with ISO and AS9000 standards. This position offers weekly pay, benefits, and the opportunity to join a client that provides excellent pay, benefits, and an ESOP program once hired permanent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough quality inspections during the manufacturing process to verify compliance with ISO and AS9000 standards


• Perform quality audits and document findings for continuous improvement


• Use precision measuring instruments such as CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems


• Implement and monitor HACCP protocols to ensure food safety where applicable


• Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports on quality performance metrics


• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and corrective actions


• Support the maintenance of quality systems to improve reliability and customer satisfaction

Requirements & Skills

• Prior experience with QA/QC processes and quality audits in a manufacturing environment


• Ability to interpret technical data and use precision measuring instruments
