What Will I Be Doing?

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:

  • Team member must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. "Safety First" expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.

  • Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to, sanitation and cleaning of assigned areas following master cleaning schedules and procedures.

  • Sanitation and cleaning consist of washing down, shoveling, de-junking, vacuuming, and sweeping.

  • Assist in formulating sanitation standards / work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.

  • Must have working knowledge and be able to operate the following: skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand / power tools.

  • "Effectively" communicate with team lead, supervisor, and customer to accomplish assigned tasks and develop sound customer relations.

  • Maintain adherence to the published work schedule and be available to work overtime as required by demands of the job.

  • Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc. utilizing fall protection equipment when required by the job

  • Maintain communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.

  • Work all shifts including holidays and weekends when demanded by the job.

  • Perform other work as defined by company and/or customer.

Job Summary:

Sanitation Technicians are a key and essential part of our baking operations. They are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing heavy baking equipment, production lines, and facility areas to maintain a clean, safe, and food-safe environment. Sanitation Technicians are also required to work every Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM .
Team members will receive two days off during the week . Flexibility is required for schedule changes, including holidays or additional shifts as needed.

Work Schedule and Pay

1st Shift

  • Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Pay: $14.00 during training / $5.00 once fully trained

2nd Shift

  • Hours: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Pay: 14.50 during training / 15.50 once fully trained

3rd Shift

  • Hours: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleans and sanitizes processing equipment and processing facilities.
  • Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures.
  • Follow all company Sanitation SOPs (SSOP) for cleaning equipment and facility.
  • Perform pre- inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervisor approval.
  • Complete all required sanitation and SQF documentation.

Health & Safety

  • Follow company safety policies and practices fostering a safe workplace and environment for ourselves and our co-workers.
  • Work safely with the chemicals used in the cleaning process and ensure all chemicals are used at proper concentrations following chemical handling SSOP.

• Train production employees on production sanitation procedures and ensure compliance with sanitation processes

• Be a Food Safety Champion and support sanitation, food safety and regulatory compliance initiatives

• Participate in training opportunities to further sanitation and food safety knowledge

Minimum Qualifications (required)

Sanitation Technician

Prepares cleaning and sanitation chemicals. Operates cleaning equipment on exterior equipment surfaces and manually cleans equipment parts. Aseptically collects samples to validate sanitation procedure. Sweeps and washes floors. Cleans and sanitizes drains, pumps, hoses, bottle and can warmers. Maintains cleaning chemical storage area. Maintains sanitation records.

Shift and Schedule:

This is a full time position on 2nd shift, Monday - Friday (Sundays as needed), from 3:00pm - 11:30pm. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.

Position Responsibilities

  • Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Keurig Dr Pepper safety and sanitation requirements.

  • Possess understanding of production equipment so it can be properly cleaned and operated.

  • Use of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.

  • Restock and replenish supplies as appropriate.

  • Perform general maintenance.

Total Rewards:

  • Pay starting at $19.87 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred

  • Lift, push and pull a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly

  • Clean-in-place (CIP) experience is preferred

We are looking for a Sanitation Technician in 2835 N Oak Grove, Springfield, MO 65803 USA. Your mission will be to:

Purpose (Objective):

This position is responsible for providing basic assistance to the operations of the laboratory washing containers used in the process of testing.

Main activities:

* Wash containers used in analysis.

* Maintain a safe clean work area around the sink.

* Maintain clean laboratory by discarding waste and cleaning and sanitizing countertops, walls, floors, shelves, equipment, sinks, water baths etc using cleaning solvents.

* Maintain a clean laboratory by properly storing chemicals, reagents and supplies. Maintain adequate stock of these materials.

* Organize laboratory glassware and plastics.

* Decontaminate laboratory materials through the use of the autoclave.

* Support corporate quality and continuous improvement process.

* This position has the responsibility and authority to identify departures from the quality system or test procedures and document such observations in accordance with the prescribed complaint system

* Perform other related duties as needed.

Communication:

The incumbent has occasional contact with personnel outside the immediate work group.

YOUR PROFILE

Profile:

This position requires the ability to follow specific instructions. Highschool diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.

Required skills:

The incumbent performs routine tasks that follow established procedures. The incumbent uses knowledge of the area and the advice of the supervisor to solve problems. Established guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures provide information to determine the correct preparation techniques.

Management: None

Work Environment:

The incumbent works in a laboratory with proper lighting and temperature control. Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials will occur when in the laboratory. The incumbent works in a laboratory with increased temperatures near the autoclave and washer. Safety equipment of gloves, laboratory coat and eyeglasses may need to be worn. Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds may be necessary. The incumbent can expect extended time spent in a standing position.

Pay: $16/hr
