Position: SAP CO Consultant

How You Will Make an Impact:

As an SAP Controlling/Labor Analyst, you will make an immediate impact by applying your expertise in SAP Controlling (CO) and labor cost management to help the command identify and resolve cost object and labor-related errors within Navy ERP. Your ability to analyze discrepancies and implement corrections will ensure accurate cost allocations and improve the integrity of financial data. By streamlining error resolution processes and supporting compliance with reporting standards, you will directly contribute to enhanced financial accuracy, audit readiness, and the overall operational effectiveness of the command.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Analyze and resolve labor posting errors, cost object issues, and data discrepancies within Navy ERP to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial reporting.
  • Monitor and reconcile labor distribution and cost center transactions, working closely with functional leads to maintain compliance with Navy financial policies and audit standards.
Relevant Skills & Experience:
  • SAP Controlling (CO) Module Expertise: Proficiency in cost center accounting, internal orders, activity types, and cost allocations within Navy ERP.
  • Labor Reconciliation and Analysis: Experience managing labor cost postings, resolving time and attendance errors, and ensuring proper distribution of labor charges.
  • Navy ERP Navigation and T-Code Utilization: Familiarity with relevant T-codes such as CATS_DA, KB15N, CAT2, KS03, KSB1, and others for labor and cost analysis.
  • Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Skilled in identifying the source of data errors and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Experience collaborating with HR, FM, and command stakeholders to ensure labor data accuracy and alignment with operational goals.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Ability to generate labor and cost reports, document error resolution steps, and maintain audit trails within Navy ERP.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with SAP ERP systems, ideally within the defense or government sectors. An additional two (2) years of relevant experience may substitute for the minimum education requirement. May substitute an additional 4 years (7 years total) of experience for college degree.
  • A self-starter who thrives in both independent and team environments.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Navy ERP, SAP, Enterprise System Migrations.
  • Prior assignments Navy performing an SAP migration for the DOD.

The work:
+ Own the design, configuration, and delivery for key S/4HANA Controlling areas including Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing (plan and actual), Material Ledger, Margin Analysis (CO-PA), and Overhead Accounting.
+ Translate complex business requirements into detailed solution designs and functional specifications that leverage S/4HANA innovations such as Universal Journal, Margin Analysis, Universal Allocation, Fiori front end.
+ Facilitate design workshops and engage directly with client SMEs and business leads to finalize detailed design decisions
+ Configure controlling structures and cost flows across Finance, Manufacturing, Procure to Pay and Order to Cash collaborating with cross-functional team members to ensure end-to-end process integrity.
+ Own and manage unit testing and support integration and UAT cycles by resolving functional defects, validating cost flows, and ensuring reporting accuracy.
+ Prepare and validate data loads for master data and transactional data related to controlling objects (cost center plans, activity types, etc.).
+ Provide inputs to training materials and test scenarios to owned solution areas.
+ Ensure timely and high-quality deliverables, pro-actively escalating risks, dependencies or blockers to the overall R2R Lead as needed.
This is a hybrid role in Nashville, TN and will require 3 days per week in the office. May consider qualified applicants in Houston, TX.
Here's what you need:
+ A minimum of five years of hands-on SAP experience in Controlling and Product Costing, including at least One full cycle S/4HANA implementation in a functional/configuration role.
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Bonus points if:
+ In-depth knowledge of standard and actual costing, material ledger, cost object controlling, Account based CO-PA (Margin analysis) and overhead cost accounting with experience using Fiori apps as the front end
+ Strong configuration skills across these areas.
+ Proven ability to independently own and delver solution components while collaborating closely with the broader Record to Report and cross functional teams.
+ Strong documentation, testing, and communication skills; comfortable working in a client-facing role under time constraints.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.   • Capture business requirements and develop solutions in SAP Finance and Controlling modules to meet long-term needs of business.
