ROLE DESCRIPTION The Principal Architect (PLM/EAM/EPPM) shall provide deep subject matter expertise and content around the area of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and/or Product Lifecycle Management(PLM) and/or Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM), that facilitates the implementation and support of on-prem and cloud-based solutions, across the entire SAP product portfolio in order to enhance the clients' business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The consultant will partner with the client to analyze and define business requirements, processes and objectives to scope project and deliverables for same. The consultant will implement, customize, and test solutions on client system and develop client-specific enhancements to meet business requirements as needed; as well as:
§ Be actively involved in the preparation, conceptualization, realization and Go-Live of customer implementation projects
§ Perform feasibility studies and process design reviews
§ Take responsibility from time to time as team lead and supports respective line manager(s) in people development tasks
§ Develop detailed plan of process implementation
§ Define detailed blueprint for development requirements
§ Lead industry/corporate process implementation across all related applications (SAP/non-SAP)
§ Develop and assure quality of process models
§ Demonstrate profound knowledge of modeling standards and tools
§ Assist in the development of the overall project plan (scoping process) as well as individual work plans; acting as liaison with client for troubleshooting (investigates, analyses, and solves software problems)
§ Analyze and map clients' business requirements, processes, and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs.
§ Support the NA Services Organization with implementation projects, pre-sales support (estimating), spot consulting and internal projects and commit to the success of customers, partners, colleagues, and SAP
§ 50% travel may be required (considering the current situation)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
In addition to a bachelor/master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or other relevant degree, and a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience, the successful candidate will possess:
§ A minimum of 8 years of consulting experience
§ Customer-facing experience with strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels within the client company
§ Must have expert-level experience in the SAP EAM and/or SAP PLM and/or EPPM (CPM, PPM, PS, Cloud for Projects) solutions.
§ Intelligent Asset Management (IAM) solutions expertise is a plus (Asset Intelligence Network - AIN, Asset Performance Management (APM).
§ Professional experience with large, multi-national software/IT organizations and with demonstrated expertise in SAP's EAM, EPPM and/or PLM solution
§ Experience with EAM/PLM, EPPM business processes and various related industry experience
§ Good knowledge of SAP integration to S/4HANA or ECC.
§ Experience with SAP Implementation Methodologies (RISE with SAP Methodology, SAP Activate, Sprints, Advanced Deployment, etc.).
§ Business AI / Artificial Intelligence knowledge is a plus
§ Knowledge of SAP's Design to Operate (DTO) Strategy, Approach, and applications
§ Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform is a plus.
§ Formal SAP certification in a related application area is a plus
§ Working knowledge of cloud, Hosted Services, and SaaS/ PaaS models, cloud-based commerce/business networks is a plus
§ Fluency in English, any other language an asset

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Lead with hands-on expertise in SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM) or a strong background in Construction Accounting . This role will lead the design, configuration, and deployment of finance and project systems within SAP to support enterprise-wide financial planning, project management, and operational efficiency.

This is a critical role interfacing with finance, operations, and project teams to ensure the SAP landscape supports both corporate financial objectives and project execution requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and support of SAP FICO modules including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Controlling.
  • Drive SAP EPPM (or construction project accounting) processes related to budgeting, forecasting, WBS elements, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial systems with project and portfolio management processes.
  • Configure and maintain integrations between SAP FICO and project systems (EPPM, PS, etc.).
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and write functional specifications.
  • Lead blueprinting, gap analysis, and end-to-end process design.
  • Perform system testing, UAT coordination, and user training.
  • Provide post-go-live support and drive continuous process improvement.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for finance and project-related SAP modules.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8-10+ years of experience in SAP FICO implementation and support.
  • Proven leadership in at least 2 full-cycle implementation as SAP FICO Lead.
  • Experience with SAP EPPM (Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management) OR solid knowledge of Construction Project Accounting .
  • Expertise in core FICO modules: GL, AP, AR, AA, CO (Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Profit Centers, Product Costing).
  • Strong knowledge of project systems integration with FICO.
  • Excellent business process knowledge in project budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting .
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

The Work:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor the SAP ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of user tickets.
  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot user errors.
  • Organize, maintain and analyze SAP master data to ensure data integrity.
  • Prepare data sets from outer sources for batch import into SAP.
  • Perform SAP maintenance tasks such as validating business partners, items, and discount schedules.
  • Develop on-demand reports for sales, accounting, customer service, and other departments as requested.
  • Perform end-user training and develop training documentation such as help files and how-to guides.
  • Maintain the SAP product library through working with marketing to ensure all product photos and descriptions are up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

We specialize in tax and can effectively address a corporate tax function's unique needs, requirements and obligations. As technology specialists, we help clients make appropriate technology choices for both direct and indirect taxes across all business cycles that have a tax impact tax. Our team, the largest of its type, offers the necessary combination of skills, methodology and practical experience to help clients with a successful ERP implementation.

Our team's multi-disciplinary approach combines tax technical and technology skillsets, enabling greater impact and efficiency within our client's organization. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,920 to $184,210.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
