Duties include:

Summary :

The Principal SAP Configurator applies system solutions to business requirements through the design and configuration of ECC and or S/4 HANA and integrated applications. The Principal must possess a thorough understanding of business processes and the ability to design, configure, and deploy solutions to support them. This position interacts with processing teams, vendors, and all client departments and systems integrated with SAP ECC and S/4 HANA. The Principal SAP Configurator will assist Technology Teams, Shared Services and Business Analysts; prepare functional specifications, design, configure, and support SAP ECC AND S/4 HANA core modules. This role will assist subject matter experts with gap analysis, process definition and systems enhancements and will be expected to provide a high level of service for break-fix incidents and requests.

Responsibilities
  • Determine opportunities to redesign or automate business processes and functions to achieve better business results
  • Serve as a liaison between client functional teams and IT for enhancements and projects
  • Prepare functional specifications, user-guides, and assist with business requirements documentation
  • Assist Quality Assurance Team with testing, strategy, and planning.
  • Support the SAP business and the development teams
  • Communicate systems and procedural changes to end users through excellent written and oral communications
  • Provide end-user training / increase end user proficiency and adoption of implemented solutions
  • Understand, communicate, and reinforce standard business process concepts and methodology within the IT organization
  • Establish and maintain relationships with client technical and functional teams
  • Mentor and coach team members
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and seven + years of experience
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills

What will you do?

The SAP FICO Analyst will conduct business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analyses in an effort to align Information Technology solutions with Operations, focusing on Finance and Controlling systems, business processes, and initiatives.

  • Research best-practice methods and solutions to meet current business needs.
  • Writes complete SAP FI/CO functional specifications.
  • Troubleshoots SAP-related business needs following fundamental best practices for SAP ECC.
  • Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and constraints to support existing systems.
  • Contributes to project-phase plans and implementation schedules.
  • Under supervision, carries out broad assignments requiring functional SAP and business knowledge in the field of specialization.
  • Adheres to and encourages compliance with Pure Fishing published processes and procedures.
  • Prepares accurate, complete, and timely testing of data for ongoing support.
  • Works with project teams to develop and augment training plans.
  • Applies comprehensive functional knowledge in the field of specialization.
  • Upholds valued partnerships with functional business owners.
  • Works in a "hands-on" capacity offering tactical direction to global cross-functional teams.
  • Travels (limited) as required in the US and abroad, depending on project needs.
  • Supports SAP Financial System modules (including COPA), globally, in support of financial, legal, and business requirements.
  • Works with regional and global Finance teams for improved global synergies.
  • Applies strong knowledge of PCA and account vs cost-based COPA methods.
  • Configures SAP ECC system in FI/CO areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, General Ledger and Special Purpose Ledger, Cash and Treasury Management, Controlling, Invoice Verification, Purchase Order Variance, Financial Analysis and COPA
  • Participates in client meetings, interviews, and workshops focused on SAP FI/CO functionality.
What makes you a great catch?
  • A bachelor's degree is required. A Project Management certification would be viewed favorably.
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP ECC 8.0 support and configuration in the areas Finance and Controlling. Knowledge of how these areas integrate with SCM Procure to Pay, SD Order to Cash, and PP Plan to Deliver.
  • Ability to understand relevant business challenges and translate into solutions.
  • Strong written and communications skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with the business and IT are essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.
  • Experience working hands-on with business users having IT or Finance background.
  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA
  • Experience with Readsoft, Perceptive, or other AP Automation Solution
  • Experience with CCH, Avalara, or Vertex for Sales & Use Tax
  • Previous experience as an SAP FICO functional resource
  • Experience in SAP ECC modules outside of FICO
  • Consumer hardgoods manufacturing and distribution experience
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple tasks.
  • Ability to discern priority and appropriately manage tasks.
  • Desire to build solid partnerships with the business within the bounds of strategic priorities.
  • Happy in an environment that requires a mix of technical and functional skills.
