We’re looking for experienced SAT/ACT Prep Tutors to join our team at the Army Navy Academy in Carlsbad, CA. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about helping students achieve their college admissions goals through targeted test preparation.
We are hiring three tutors :
One focused on Math
One focused on English
One able to teach both Math and English
About the Role
Each session runs for 6 weeks (three sessions total throughout the school year).
Classes are held Saturdays from 8 AM–Noon on campus.
Work with motivated high school students in a structured, supportive environment.
What You’ll Do
Teach test-taking strategies and content for SAT and/or ACT Math and/or English sections.
Provide engaging lessons and practice activities that build confidence and performance.
Track student progress and adjust instruction based on individual needs.
Encourage and motivate students to reach their highest potential.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in SAT/ACT tutoring or test prep instruction.
Strong subject expertise in Math and/or English.

GradePower Learning Saint Paul is looking for an upbeat reliable, enthusiastic, dynamic part-time tutor who wants to work in a rewarding teaching environment. Candidates must be comfortable teaching students in 9th to 12th grade, at all levels. Instructors must be ready to teach advanced functions, calculus and data management in addition to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and chemistry.
We are currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our learning center. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers, equations, and language and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.
SAT/ACT tutoring experience - own grades in the 90th percentile required.
Teacher-tutors at GradePower Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.
Position Requirements:
All Teacher-Tutors at GradePower Learning work during after-school and evening hours (4:00pm - 8:00pm), as well as Saturdays (10:00am - 2:00pm). A commitment for the entire school year is preferred. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.
This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education :
- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- College students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification an asset
- Strong knowledge of the current 9th to 12th grade math and science curriculum
- Strong English grades
Experience :
- Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a 9th to 12th grade (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
Responsibilities (Position Details):
You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:
- Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
- Teaching online and in-person
- Following the GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Filling in post-lesson notes
- Completing daily student communication updates
- Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Lead Teachers Wanted for Fun After-School Tutoring! Sylvan Learning Center is looking for fun, dedicated teachers to help and inspire students. We are currently looking for teachers who are able to teach reading, writing, and math through Algebra II, SAT and ACT prep.
Sylvan creates individualized, engaging learning plans for students of all abilities. Working with well-behaved groups of only three students, you will be responsible for leading instruction and motivating students to be successful. There is no lesson plan to create, no homework to grade, no parent-conferencing, and scheduling is flexible. Enjoy all of the benefits of teaching, without any of the downsides!
What you should know:
You will use pre-planned lessons. They are straightforward, easy to manage, and fun to teach.
Teach students in a small group setting. There will be no more than 4 students per teacher.
Lead Teachers work 5 days per week for 3-4 hours per day
We are open for instruction weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings, as well as daytime hours during school breaks.
