A highly organized and detail-oriented Security Clearance Coordinator manages and oversees all personnel security vetting processes for staff assigned to IRS contracts and other clients. This role ensures compliance with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) background investigation, security clearance, and staff-like access requirements outlined in IRM 10.23.2 and IR1052.204-9000. Will serve as the central point of contact (POC) between contractor employees and IRS Personnel Security and will be responsible for timely processing, tracking, and record-keeping of background investigation materials and communications.
**Role Responsibilities**
+ Serve as the single point of contact (POC) for all contractor employee background investigations, NDAs, and security awareness training matters. Initiate, monitor, and maintain security clearance applications
+ Serve as liaison between employees, 3rd party test centers, , and government agencies
+ Maintain and update personnel security files and databases
+ Track clearance statuses, reinvestigations, and eligibility expirations.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
+ Conduct briefings and debriefings (e.g., security indoctrinations, non-disclosure agreements).
+ Collaborate with HR, hiring managers, and recruiters to support pre-employment clearance needs.
+ Prepare and submit security reports and incident documentation as needed.
+ Support audits, inspections, and self-assessments of security processes.
+ Collect, verify, and submit background investigation materials, including:
+ Risk Assessment Checklist (RAC)
+ Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
+ IRS and federal security forms
+ Fingerprint scheduling and coordination through USAccess or alternate forms for approved fingerprinting
+ Background checks
+ Tax compliance report
+ I9 verification with E Verify
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirement**
+ Minimum of 3 years in personnel security, HR compliance, or background investigation coordination
+ Strong knowledge of federal government background check processes

A GLIMPSE INTO THIS PROJECT MANAGEMENT POSITION

As a Project Manager at NVE, you will be responsible for a 1M SF facility in a high-security environment, ensuring seamless coordination between trade personnel, subcontractors, and key stakeholders. This role requires an active Top Secret clearance , as you will be overseeing critical operations within a secure facility. Your day is a blend of managing the maintenance program, coordinating with other maintenance contractors in the facility, and developing projects for repairs or replacements in support of the O&M program. Your O&M program includes oversight of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, sewage, stormwater systems, and fire protection. Given the nature of this position, candidates with military experience in facility operations, logistics, or engineering-who understand the importance of security protocols and operational readiness-are strongly encouraged to apply. In this project management position, you also coordinate service calls, preventive maintenance, and repairs while ensuring all work is done according to contractual agreements, industry best practices, and strict security regulations.

At Allied Universal, a Cleared Security Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. As a Cleared Security Officer, you'll receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
+ Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
+ Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
+ Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
+ Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms
+ Act as a first responder in emergency situations
**QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):**
+ Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
+ Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
+ Must possess one or more of the following:
+ Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
+ Prior military experience
+ Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
+ Exceptional customer service skills
+ Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):**
+ Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
+ Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
