JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior System Administrator (SCADA) will be responsible for the design, programing, and implementation of the new SCADA system(s), as well as providing day to day operational support for the existing system(s). This role is responsible for utilizing and integrating the latest technologies, developments and trends in the Gas PLC and SCADA systems industry to enhance current operations. A successful candidate must have an in-depth working knowledge of SCADA fundamentals as they apply to the utility space. This role requires that the selected candidate maintain a strong working relationship with all management, supervisory, IT and operating staff in their designated area. Clear communications and close coordination with the energy control center is required to support both field and energy distribution operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintaining currency with latest trends in automation designs and equipment for the Gas industry
  • Fluent in all aspects of SCADA System including:
  • AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) baseline platform
  • HMI display development
  • Realtime Database implementation
  • Historical Database data interfaces and reports
  • Gas Measurement Metering
  • Troubleshoot SCADA software and server issues
  • Work closely with Field Technicians to configure, test, and troubleshoot data polling from the SCADA System to field RTUs.
  • Work with Gas Control operators to make sure the SCADA system is always providing them the ability to safely operate the pipeline.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Control Systems Technician (SCADA) is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting of process control systems. Under limited supervision, the Control Systems Technician is responsible for efficiently prioritizing, designing, planning, and completing the workload as assigned.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs complex maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, programming, and system administration of Process Control Systems (SCADA and DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), control and instrument loops, field instrumentation, chemical analysis systems, variable frequency drives, communication network systems, hazardous chemical distribution and detection systems, and HMI computer workstations.

• Ensures proper software application and systems programming necessary for maintaining and

• Creates, maintains, and updates critical information using various applications and programs. Reviews, and prepares reports from databases with information regarding assigned work orders, equipment calibration, repair, and inventory.

• Coordinates and facilitates monthly group meetings.

• Participates in design review and construction process. Reviews prints for conformity to TWC and accepted industry standards in process control systems and instrumentation principles, practices, procedures, and terminology. Evaluates and specifies instrumentation.

• Provides technical guidance and training to control system technicians for special projects and PCS control systems.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Industrial Fields or a related field or 60 college hours from an institution accredited by a nationally recognized accredited agency, or a State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License.

• Three years' experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and installation of control and instrument loops, field instrumentation, or hazardous chemical distribution/detection systems, including two years' experience in PLC hardware and software, SCADA/DCS fundamentals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced professional who will be responsible for administration of Rockwell FactoryTalk-based process control systems and Inductive Automations Ignition-based process control and environmental monitoring systems. Responsibilities:

Noblis MSD is looking to hire a Software Validation/Test Engineer. **This is an onsite position in Philadelphia, PA.**
Noblis MSD is looking to hire a Test Engineer to support the US Navy by:
+ Providing installation and testing support, development of simulation equipment, and system setups/tests in both a lab environment and US Navy shipboard systems.
+ Perform software and hardware testing while developing and following test procedures and collaborate with software developers for the purposes of developing tests.
+ Use portable electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters electronic bridges, loop calibrators) in a electronics lab environment.
+ Develop and improve internal procedures, templates, standards, and other documents that are clear, have the correct level of detail and are easy to follow.
+ Assess and perform industry standard test methods, as well as custom test methods for industrial automation systems and machinery control systems. Typically, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based systems.
+ Developing and performing software tests, typically focusing on: Integration Testing, System Testing, Performance Testing, and Usability Testing.
+ Thoroughly documenting bugs discovered during testing and making recommendations to developers on product improvements where necessary.
+ Identifying opportunities for automation to improve operational efficiency and test coverage.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelors degree and 1 years of experience; Will also consider a High School diploma and 6 years of experience, or an Associates and 3 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
+ Must be a US citizen with and active Secret Security clearance or the ability to obtain a DOD secret clearance prior to starting
+ Knowledge of fundamental electrical troubleshooting concept onboard naval vessels
+ Experience with System repair of Navy machinery control systems
Desired Qualifications
+ Active Secret Clearance preferred
+ Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams
+ Proficiency in the use of test and diagnostic tools associated with industrial control systems troubleshooting
+ Ability to perform testing in accordance with documented test procedures
+ Ability to perform simulation testing of low voltage signals such as 4-20 ma, 0-10 VDC
+ Familiar with low voltage test equipment such as a FLUKE meter and signal simulator

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to developing a long-term, cross-plant manufacturing systems technology strategy, including standardization of toolsets and applications where appropriate.
  • Research Level 2 (SCADA) and Level 3 (MES) systems to provide recommendations to the business on solutions to their business requirements and objectives.
  • Work with the IT team to develop an effective and efficient approach to integration between shop floor manufacturing systems and business systems (particularly SAP).
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on GS1 labeling for pallets and cases.
  • Work with Operations teams, Continuous Improvement teams and others to bring forth and document user and functional requirements for manufacturing systems opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with plant engineers and operations teams to develop project proposals to determine functional and technical scope, time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing projects.
  • Ensure that concerns regarding change management, legal, security, technical infrastructure and systems integration are considered for all Manufacturing Systems projects.
  • Work with the IT team to develop an effective and efficient approach to integration between manufacturing systems and business systems (particularly SAP).
  • Assist with the relationship with manufacturing systems vendors - including vendor selection, contract negotiation, budgeting and license management.
