JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior System Administrator (SCADA) will be responsible for the design, programing, and implementation of the new SCADA system(s), as well as providing day to day operational support for the existing system(s). This role is responsible for utilizing and integrating the latest technologies, developments and trends in the Gas PLC and SCADA systems industry to enhance current operations. A successful candidate must have an in-depth working knowledge of SCADA fundamentals as they apply to the utility space. This role requires that the selected candidate maintain a strong working relationship with all management, supervisory, IT and operating staff in their designated area. Clear communications and close coordination with the energy control center is required to support both field and energy distribution operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining currency with latest trends in automation designs and equipment for the Gas industry
- Fluent in all aspects of SCADA System including:
- AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) baseline platform
- HMI display development
- Realtime Database implementation
- Historical Database data interfaces and reports
- Gas Measurement Metering
- Troubleshoot SCADA software and server issues
- Work closely with Field Technicians to configure, test, and troubleshoot data polling from the SCADA System to field RTUs.
- Work with Gas Control operators to make sure the SCADA system is always providing them the ability to safely operate the pipeline.
- Program wireless modems (Sierra Wireless and Digi)
- Build, configure, and maintain reports
- Document changes, obtain required approvals, and submit changes

The **SCADA Systems Specialist** is responsible for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of pipeline SCADA and associated systems including related interfaces, communications, and applications. They will provide support of critical 24/7 SCADA production systems to ensure continuous system availability. What You Will Do
- Troubleshoot production issues related to PLCs, HMIs, drives, safety systems, and other control system devices using programming software and electrical schematics
- Evaluate root cause, and address technical issues with long term solutions in mind
- Design modifications for control systems including specifying parts lists, producing schematics using AutoCAD, modifying programs, and leading commissioning efforts
- Evaluate and optimize processes and equipment operation through implementing changes to programs and circuitry
- Define and develop data within PLCs to support the operation's reporting needs
- Manage projects related to control system enhancements or retrofits
- Communicate and work with various operational, environmental, maintenance, and engineering levels in a team environment, while being self-motivated and accomplishing individual goals
- Effectively communicate with internal customers and leadership
- Keep documentation clean and programs backed up in alignment with established processes
- Work with a safety-first mindset, a sense of urgency, and with focus on your customers
- Three or more years of professional experience working with PLC-based industrial process control systems
- Proficient PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming skill s
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an engineering field (strongly preferred)
- Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware and software (strongly preferred)
- Certifications related to machine safety circuitry standards or specific control platforms
- Experience drawing schematics using AutoCAD
- Experience with Siemens hardware and software
- Experience with drives, HMIs, and robotics
- Experience working on converting and packaging equipment
- Understanding of Ethernet-based industrial process control networks
We anticipate this role paying 110k-135k depending on experience

What You Will Do
- Work closely with mill personnel to identify opportunities and solve process control-related problems
- Optimization and support of process operations through both the application of process control systems and general troubleshooting of the processes
- Support of the maintenance group in troubleshooting problems with the processes and the process control systems
- Support of the project engineering group in planning and installing new process equipment and process control systems
- Development of process control modifications that lead to improved safety, reduced costs, and improved efficiency
- Support of the mill OSI PI data historian and its users
- Assemble reports to document process status and changes.
- Track metrics to ensure control systems are delivering expected results or to discover areas for improvement
- Utilize organizational skills and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Share department on-call responsibility
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR 5+ years of Process Control experience in a manufacturing/heavy industrial environment
- Engineering and application experience with Emerson DeltaV
- Experience in supporting process control systems in a Pulp and Paper mill
- Knowledge of paper machine controls and QCS systems
- Experience with APCs, VFD drives and Allen Bradley PLCs
- Experience in installing process control systems, including construction, checkout, and startup of new systems
- Experience with alarm management and rationalization
- Experience with cyber security, OT support and network architecture technology

Koch Ag & Energy Services is seeking a Process Control Engineer to join our Dodge City, Kansas, Koch Fertilizer plant!
This position is open to individuals based in Wichita, KS. The selected candidate will primarily work from the Koch office in Wichita but will initially need to travel to Dodge City 50-75% of the time to provide onsite support. As relationships are established and familiarity with processes grows, we anticipate travel requirements will decrease to approximately 25%, as onsite support becomes less frequent.

Reporting into Process Controls Leader and partnering with the Central Plains Nitrogen (CPN) Process Control Engineers, this Process Control Engineer will support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the company's fleet of fertilizer plants. The key focus for the organization is to develop and improve process control performance, requiring close collaboration with plant staff and support capabilities.

- Experience implementing regulatory control schemes and DCS or PLC configuration.
- Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems and Functional Safety.

- Loop tuning and control loop performance improvement experience.
