Overview
OVERVIEW: Responsible for the daily operations of the arena, including but not limited to ice maintenance, cleaning, event set up/break down, equipment repairs and upkeep, and all other assigned duties to maintain the safe and effective operation of Schneider Arena. Responsible for compliance with all NCAA and Providence College rules and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Daily maintenance of the ice surface including operation of Zamboni and edger operation, and removal and installation of ice surface. (40%)
- Clean locker rooms, hallways, lobby, bathrooms, and spectator seating. (30%)
- Perform event set up and break down. (20%)
- Off-season work includes painting, general repairs, and heavy cleaning. (10%)
Education and Experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma
- At least two years of experience in an arena or sports venue with familiarity in ice equipment and operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong customer service skills required
- Knowledge of ice arena operations, activities, and maintenance
- Knowledge of basic computer tasks and email correspondence
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety principals and procedures
- Ability to work independently or with others to accomplish assigned tasks
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
- Ability to walk, stand, kneel, sit, or bend for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to maintain a physical condition necessary to operate equipment effectively and to perform moderate to heavy lifting
- Ability to work nights and weekends

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Create control algorithms, download source code to controllers, manage system databases, and implement an animated front-end graphical user interface.
+ Experience in Multiple Systems integration, getting different protocols to talk to each other and share information. One front end for multiple platforms.
+ Executes project start-ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed BAS controls and mechanical systems on assigned projects.
+ Participates in the layout and coordination of network drops, IP addresses and monitoring tools with customer's IT Department personnel.
+ Works with equipment vendors to coordinate communication protocols, encryption, and database requirements for integration to their systems.
+ Runs semi-complex reports to analyze system operation, works with project team to demonstrate system operation and verify consistency with the contracted scope of work.
+ Participates in final inspection and testing, assures customer acceptance, and conducts training for end user customers on system operations.
+ Provides Plans & Control System Documents to application engineering for as-built drawings using the latest digital technology.
+ Mentors other specialists who may need specific automation or HVAC product knowledge.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR WIRING ASSOCIATES:
- Wiring switchgear to customer order.
- Assemble and wire a variety of complex assembly and
subassembly operations for switchboard and switchgear
products.
- Use component wiring schemes include PLC's, Circuit Monitors,

- Perform mechanical assembly.
- Employees are expected to train and work in other departments

QUALIFICATIONS FOR WIRING ASSOCIATES:
- Must have 6 + months of Professional Wiring experience.
- Must possess a good work record.
- Experience wiring switchgear is a plus.
- Wiring certificate from a technical school or have a technical
associate degree is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams,
schematics, blueprints, material lists, and other source material.
- Experience as an electrician or electrician's assistant is a plus.
- Candidate must be highly motivated and self-directed with the
